Idk if I’m the only one but I love revisiting this video every couple of years. I love the recreated builds you made of those original childhood dinky creations, it’s like how you envisioned them in your mind as you played out those anime-esque fights.
It doesn't take huge, expensive sets, well-planned themes, or even fancy parts to have fun with Lego. Just a good imagination. I remember spending hours on little creations just like these. Thanks for the reminder, IXRollOutIX.
I once made a lego star cruiser that took some inspiration from the star destroyer and was made using a lego creator set and modifying it and taking some other parts, I took it apart into sections and counted the pieces and it came out to 189 pieces
Man, I remember making this huge fleshed out story with my Legos. It revolved around this minifigure I called Zinc. and he could transform into these demon forms and wouldn't you know it they had names like Alpha, Beta, Omega, and Delta. He went on this journey and made a bunch of companions like a guy who could turn into a gorilla, and there was a golem guy as well . He also made enemies throughout the adventure that were made of the more detailed and jointed characters (like the Halo and World of Warcraft figures.) I eventually decided "When I grow up, I'm gonna make this an animated tv show." At the age of seven, I had three seasons planned out with fleshed out characters and a well built world. I dont know if it'll ever happen but to this day I still think about these characters and maybe one day, I will end up making it a reality.
Alpha really is a cool little guy, and I'm glad you remembered this little LEGO Creation. I had a robot similar to Alpha, but he was light grey and had a skinny body with a slight Xenomorph look.
DAAAAAAANNNGGGGG!!!!! I just created a character called B.L.A.D.E.S. who is a government created weapon armor that loses control and just screw everyone using his nanorobots and superspeed, and NOW I discovered that you did something similar way ago! Nice job, anyway ;D
Hits me right in the childhood. I really drifted away from my legos when I hit my junior year in high school. I miss those days where I's spend an entire day sifting through all my pieces to build something or fix something that broke, or even to build an awesome scape that would hold epic battles, or a room that held all the importance in the entire world. But I've run out of steam and time for them. If I had more, I'm sure that I could right back to it.
The imagination, the creativity, the FLOW of nostalgia. I can FEEL anime radiating off of these figures so I'd you going back to your childhood to redevelop and reimagine them into what your child self so heavily loved was a great video.
I love how you can really see the construction in these two so it's easy to build at home and people can bring your ideas into life with their own liberties
I actually did something similar. I had this one guy with a motorbike, and he defended a small village from military invasion by my various mech sets and robots that I built.
You were much more creative than me with your building supplies. I've always had a huge amount of Legos but never made the things you have. But I did have a story about a guy in armor running around with a shopping cart collecting supplies from the post apocalyptic junkyard of a world (piles of all my Legos)
IX, dude, you seem pretty underwhelmed by these guys. I think these are the coolest things ever! I'm working right now on making a story for these guys! I'll start animating it soon! Keep being AWESOME!!!
I've been developing a story of my own, which I might talk about later. Just not entirely sure how to present it. I'd love to see your take on it, though. :-)
i came here from Builder's Block and i gotta say, now that i've seen the background information and whatnot, i appreciate the classic re-color more than i did watching Builder's Block. and i would very much like to hear the story that comes from this... and would very much like to play this out with RollOut himself if i could. when i was younger my brother and i had this alternate bionicle storyline that we would play out and often included ideas and concepts from other stories and franchises that we were into at the time (including El Tigre, Transformers, and Pokemon). now that i'm older and my brother and i have gone separate ways, it seems my lego creations have less of a personality to them simply because i don't really play with them by myself and on a side note, beta 1.0 reminds me of mewtwo
Dude this was so freaking cool! I like the imagination and creativity put into your creations! I just wish i could do the same since I had my own custom lego robot similar looking to alpha but I cant recreate it anymore since the blocks I used as a kid was a lego knockoff and i could not remember what brand it was.
I Was Inspired By this And It's Really Cool! So I Decided To Create My Own Called Omega I Made Him A Good Guy And Used Some Technic For Support Although These Characters You Made Have Inspired Me To Make My Own And I Love How You Remodelled Them!
it’s been a hot minute, a saw this video back when I was like 10 when it came out and I built my own little robot guy bcs of it...fast forward to now and i just rebuilt him...if I remember correctly I think I named him omega or something like that. You were a huge part of my childhood my dude and the reason I’m so into legos today
+SamuraiPantherPvP I just made another one called Epsilon...my story is delta and beta fought at a tournament (I guess with all of you guy's models too) and was defeated by him...then alpha saw what happened and found a scrap yard where delta was "remade" as Epsilon...delta had more of a brown appearance and epsilon has a blue icy look..
you know I am a HUGE Lego fan i have been as long as i can remember but you know this video inspired me to rebuild my older Lego creations ps I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW, that beta reimagination looks awesome, also, it would have been awesome if the original beta had the arms only attached with the chain elements so they were loose, im copying that beta original design lol
Transparent only applies when objects can be visibly seen through it _without_ distortion. Translucent means light freely passes through it, but images aren't detailed or completely clear. Windows and eyeglass lenses are transparent; Lego bricks like these crystals, globes, and domes are translucent.
+IXRollOutIX You could say the same about eyeglass lenses. The purposely distort images to help people see better. So would that be translucent or transparent?
Back in the day, 2x2 jumper plates didn’t exist. That piece is only a few years old, and the Xalax Racers set that Classic Alpha’s pieces came from was released over twenty years ago.
yeah I remade an old star wars gunship looking thing, that I made way back when. It's in black and my 6 year old selfs mind would've been blown from how badass and clean it looks now.
