Type 4 for me is easily the best Ridge Racer as well as the best racer on the PS1, but we all know that it was elevated by its stunning OST, which unto itself is arguably the best on the PS1! This is amazing and it just makes me yearn for a new Ridge Racer of old sounding like this. Absolutely incredible! We salute you Mr Takahashi!

Literally saw your pinned comment on another video and thought to myself, I have to buy the album, and so I did. Takes me back to an era I wish I had lived in since I was born in '99, literally started playing the RR series last year and I'm glad I did, even if I am kinda late haha. 純粋にグルーヴサウンドとして素晴らしいですね。ループ再生でずっと聴いていたくなります。 R4のOSTは未だによく聴きます。 Urban FragmentsやNaked Glow、Move Meなど、今思えば収録曲の中で特に好きな曲は高橋さんの楽曲が多かったです。

Ridge Racer has always made it's music a KEY priority in the game, not an afterthought. The music and soundtrack acts as a companion to fuel the drive as you throw your vehicle around corners at 100+ KMPH, you keep that same companionship with this album, I can see it clearly. Great work!

I grew up playing Ridge Racer. I played RR2, RR PSP, RR6, and RR7. Just hearing some of these brought back a flood of fantastic memories even if these weren't in the actual game. The RR series just had a unique feeling that no racing game can replicate these days. Fantastic job! Can't wait to hear the full release :)

@@kohtasolid Now that I've listened to the full album, I'm in a great mood. Excellent work! I believe Bandai Namco could revive the Ridge Racer series, if fans were willing to accept a compromise. I think a low risk way to bring it back would be a smaller scale game like Ridge Racer 5, but with the sleek jazzy _style_ of Ridge Racer Type 4. Forza and Gran Turismo are fun, but they do not have that signature feel of drifting. There is room for Ridge Racer to return.

i remember i was only 5 yrs old when i started playing ridge racer type 4 and the whole soundtrack totally influenced me a lot in my music taste now that i'm already 25. still the best ridge racer installment for me.
