RSD has blown up almost every single relationship I could’ve been in. I’m so glad I finally understand what I suffer with. I thought I was just crazy and now training my mind enough.

Just found out I had RSD . It explains why it feels like I had my heart ripped out after rejection

“Had my heart ripped out.” This is the most accurate description I’ve ever heard. I wish people I was close to understood. 😢

I have never had these symptoms until I experienced a very traumatic event 2 years ago and it changed me. I thought I was crazy until I found your videos. At least I can recognize the mental looping and turn the volume of it down.

Learnt a year ago I had ADHD, admitted to myself this year I actually have ADHD, today learnt about rsd and was like wow Hopefully working with a psychologist will help ease some symptoms because I'm getting awfully lonely in life

Sir I’ve been to hours and hours of therapy. Even did some inpatient to deal with my depression, and this is the first time I’ve heard of this. It fits me perfectly. Hoping that now that I know I can avoid blowing up my relationship 😁 thanks for the content!

Happened to stumble upon this video by sheer accident but listen to the whole thing because it caught my interest. I have lived this way all my life! I recently started working a lot on myself and these are exactly things that I have issues with. Thank you for making this video and enlightening me on this issue

Not me getting upset because I searched “dating someone who struggles with rumination” (btw I was trying to look into that in order to help myself and my partner understand why I am how I am sometimes) and vwalah this video has absolutely nothing linear to what I was searching for BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE…. This is EXACTLY WHAT MY PARTNER SUFFERS FROM. I feel like I just hit gold and I actually can not believe that RU-vid’s wonky algorithm actually paid off this time. Paid off major because I feel like I just hit gold

I’m thrilled this video made a positive impact on you. I put a lot of effort into making this video the best I could to highlight RSD and relationships. I hope you and your partner are doing well

This is amazing. Thank you for the information. Sometimes a person can think there is so much more wrong with them when really…it’s defining yourself. Accepting and consciously changing patterns. 🌸

Do people with RSD ever regret their actions when they’re “triggered”, do they ever reflect on what they say or do later when they’re no longer in the situation, or do they stick to the narrative created in the situation?
@jace7955
@jace7955 2 года назад
yes we definitely regret our actions and we reflect. i do at least

of course, it actually compounds the shame and makes the feeling worse. people with rsd probably regret their actions and ruminate on them more than the average person does

I'm ADHD and RSD, I also have PTSD. Lot of acronyms. To me I can't really tell what's even going on when I get RSD. I literally feel like I'm having a panick attack and can't control it. I will get all the way to the point where I'm ready to kill myself because I've gotten myself so far deep into something. Especially in my romantic relationships. Even though part of me knows the thoughts aren't real, I tend to believe they are really real without ability to stop myself. I can reflect all day but at the end of the day my emotions are gonna build up. The positive thought I try and think about starts to slowly turn back into a negative thought without even being able to rope it back in. People tend to say to me all the time "learn to control your mind" that's not possible to me no matter how hard I begin to try. My past is too deep, too hurtful that it's hard to let go. It's hard to transform those thoughts. I sometimes wonder if I'm in Hell sometimes. But this happens on an occasion, then sometimes it doesn't happen and I'm a normal person again.

This sounds exactly like a trauma response. I'm starting to wonder if there is any mental health condition that is purely genetic. Even then, trauma can impact our genes. Imagine if we set people up to be good parents and made sure everyone had a safe home with food. It could change the world for the better.

Love your content, you mentioned a few sensitivities ie light, would they fall under Autism?
@jasoncerrotalks2655
@jasoncerrotalks2655 Год назад
Thank you Maxine. Yes, sensitivities can fall under both adhd and autism. More than half diagnosed with ASD have signs of ADHD. Up to a quarter of children with ADHD have low level signs of ASD such as social skill difficulties, and sensitivity to clothing, lighting, and some sounds.

If anyone has any experience bringing this to Kaiser could you share how that went? I once reached out for what I called depression/anxiety and they replied with the suggestion to call a number. Now I found that I’m most likely RSD without adhd . Did they help at all or did they treat you as someone crazy or over sensitive?

ami the only one that KNOWS from the descriptiont that I have RSD but have bee "rejected" from having ADHD by online questionnaires? The RSD symptoms fit SO WELL, but I've "failed" online "tests" for having ADHD. Is it possible that RSD is NOT exclusively linked to ADHD?
@jasoncerrotalks2655
@jasoncerrotalks2655 7 месяцев назад
RSD, like many conditions have several areas of symptom overlap so it is entirely possible someone without adhd can exhibit several symptoms of rsd
