This is a great setup for anyone who wants or needs it! I get a lot of grief from some people who see my pingel electric shifter, but look stupid when I take my left leg prosthetic off and the see my amputation. I can shift with my foot, but the electric shift makes sure I can ride even though my leg might not be feeling it's best. Plus its picky setting up the shifters, because my ankle is stationary and cannot pivot. I wouldn't mind having this clutch setup with my electric shifter at all! It means that I can still ride to get away and enjoy riding even though my fingers may be sore and my leg don't want to work. I build my bike for me, no one else, so leave the hate somewhere else. 😉🤙
What if your a rider that has a damaged hand. I see a lot of shit talk on here but no one is thinking about nerve damage or (arthritis )I feel like this kit is highly beneficial
Ah you couldn't understand how I meant to say arthritis given the content leading to the autocorrect I'll give it a fix to not confuse the simple minded
Dan makes a valid point I have severe damage to my clutch/ left hand and it very rarely does what I want it to do Harley clutches can be a tough one to squeeze no matter what I’ve tried therefore if there is a product that makes it easier. I don’t feel it not worth having and it certainly doesn’t make me personally any less of a man
I purchased a used softail slim, not realizing the bike had a rekluse clutch. The clutch went bad after a few rides. Took it to my local harley dealer. Clutch kit with Rekluse backordered for a long time. Finally the harley dealer installed it. Having major problems with second and third gear. The harley mechanics don't really understand how this works. This system should not be so complicated. The harley mechanic said i should use the rubberband everytime i ride. Not happy with this product.
The video : Rekluse How To Install EXP auto-clutch for Harley-Davidson Big Twin Models is out of date. Would you take this content down and share our most recent updated install of this video?
I'm buying a bike with Rekluse which I have no use for owner doesn't have original parts. Is there anything I need beside clutch plates, springs, cable to restore the bike to standard clutch?
I recently injured my left hand so can't use the clutch lever,. I like this idea, but I'm not understanding how it shifts up and down without damaging something.
I have an 98 Evo Roadking I replaced the stock clutch with a Pro One clutch if I went with the Rekluse would I have to reinstall the stock clutch basket instead of the one provided by Pro one. Thanks
Is there one of these video for the ball and ramp style, I just installed one with on instructions and I did something wrong, I can not pull the clutch lever , it gets increasingly harder as rpm go up to the point where I cant move it. I cant shift less I just forgo using the clutch am just jam it. Just putting around it seem ok but the lever still feels ruff binds up chunk feeling. could this be caused buy having a to big shim. wrong fluid ( buy the way I have the wet type clutch)
Thanks Pal,, but It is installed correct I called the guy that built it. they just work that way. and it is stupid stupid . But not have as stupid as people that answer posts when they don't have a clue what there talking about.
I like riding BUT my left knee is not good. I wish someone would make neutral and drive transmission, as in a car. Of course without park and reverse, although in some cases reverse would be nice. Is there any company that does this?
I get the whole auto clutch thing. But why in the heck does Harley Davidson still use a primary chain drive? A gear drive primary would hv been a huge upgrade on their new Milwaukee 8 motor.
Way over complicated and unnecessary! Just get an extra plate clutch kit from Barnett and be done with it! I’ve thrown down big torque and HP numbers with this combo and Barnett never failed me.
I got my first bike a month ago. 2020 kawasaki Vulcan 900, great bike in general but perfect for a beginner guy like me. I was practicing around my neighborhood and happend to come across a Harley rider leaving his driveway so I nodded my head to greet him and he just looked away, seconds later we pulled up to the same stop sign and i fumbled a little kinda embarrassing i know and the Guy just rode off and nodded his head side to side. I completely get why Harley riders get the flak they do from people outside the bubble. Im not a shy Man and have no problem with altercation so when he rode off all I wanted to do was catch up to him and knock his ass off his bike and beat him with his own front fairing.
What does being born in the 80's have to do with what type of bike we ride? I'm 38 have a harley, 2 kawasaki, and a honda. Not sure how being a millennial makes any difference in what I decide to ride.
George Graulich or people who lost a hand.... or people who are just touring around enjoying life and don’t have an ego in the way. I’m a millennial who rides a Harley and drives a stick shift vehicle. This comment is a year old. I hope your ignorance has faded away over the past year.
