honestly man way smaller businesses have produced killer stem algos, at this point Pioneer just doesnt care about it cause its not that hard or novel to do at this point

It will always be a quality vs resources question So do you bring the best possible stems separation, and then tell people to get better hardware or use a lower quality option if they don't want to? Or to prepare the stems in advance? That's the VDJ approach (but you can decide which of the 3 options you choose) Or do you only support specific hardware where the hardware can always handle it base on specific chipsets? That's the djay pro approach Or do you make your stems separation lightweight enough that it will tun on anything without the need for preparation, but with less focus on quality? That's the Rekordbox approach

I believe it forces you onto a trial when you first use it. I *think* when the trial runs out your hardware unlock will still work (without the paid for features)

Yeah the auto cues have not worked well for me so far because the grid was wonky

@@ReallyChrisM It was 50/50 whether the streaming suggestions were aligned or not. I never noticed the BPM being out on streamed music before but some of them were well off. I had to switch to vinyl mode in my head and just ignore the screen.

it's hardware unlock. Unplug your hardware and it locks again

@@docKAM I know that but in the video Chris said you can link it with your account so it no longer needs to be plugged in but this doesn't seem to be the case. 2:12

You can now simply register your device via the UI. After that it doesn't need to be connected to RB anymore to unlock its features. It's like a constant hardware unlock.

@@godscoldhands1868 I've registered my device on the website, can't see anywhere in the software to additionally add it. Still locked out until I plug it in, not even a big deal but probably the only change I was interested in and it doesn't seem to work, typical.

@@J.R.__ You can either right click and add or use the sub browser menus to open up the playlist alongside the main collection. It's not ideal

@@ReallyChrisM Guess I’ll have to use the second option. Sure am glad I have a dual monitor setup but that’s for prep work etc. When DJing live, adding tracks to a playlist on a laptop screen means I have to right click since having a subbrowser on a 14 inch screen would be too small to see. Wtf is Pioneer…errr I mean Alpha beta soup thinking? Or are they?

You'll need to download direct from the website - it runs alongside v6 and is not a direct upgrade
