Relapse 2 was originally made of songs from his original Relapse sessions (Unreleased songs & Relapse: Refill songs), but by the time Refill was released it had evolved. In my version, it combines various Relapse 2 era songs all the way from Relapse 1 sessions, to mid 2009 sessions, till (as bonus tracks) basically "Recovery" sessions. As you listen he continues his Relapse style at the start but slowly fades away from the accents near the end of the album. This album attempts to be the best recreation of a Relapse 2 album with the material we have. Relapse is seriously my favorite project by Eminem. I never cared for music when I was a teenager, but when I discovered Relapse, man that changed everything.
We need an official release of Relapse 2 man. In my opinion Eminem should've never listened to the criticisms of Relapse 1, that album is one of his best albums. Pen game was great, dre beats were great and the accents were fucking funny. His latest project contains a little bit of this type of stuff (Little Engine and Discombobulated) but we need more!
@@fatherwilliam I'm guessing everyone isn't as in the dark as me and knows about the album, Don't Call Me .Marshall.... I've got it and had so, for a while now and I love it... My favourite of all time is on it too...Rabbit Run. Probably just ten years behind you all but just a real thing.
He said on the warning That he'll release everything he's got & that's regarding Mariah Carey and Nick cannon! I didn't hear him say anything about he releases every song he's got because he doesn't do that! 🤷♂️
Ello I also enjoyed Relapse. My only wish that it had the song Framed from Revival on that album. It would have been more of a hit song if it released earlier.
One of the best albums. Dont know why he hated it so much. He keeps apologizing to his fans for it. Tge relapse album worked for my panic attacks better then xanax did. No jokes
@@Defbnnmewdbhtt no deff not. I just dont get why em thinks he let his fans down with that album. It was different but in a goodway. Anything after that album atleast to me personally. Im not speaking for others. Just didnt stick with me like all his other albums. Even kamikaze i like a few tracks but it doesnt have that replay value like mm or slimshady encore u get the picture.
I'll get some hate, but Relapse was Em's last classic album in my opinion. If he released Relapse 2 instead of Recovery (which I consider his second worst album), then I'd say this would be his last classic. All of the Relapse era songs have wonderful production, with dark humor, awesome rhyme patterns, and I think the accents were dope. It seems like Relapse was his turning point. He got such bad feedback for it, that he completely changed his direction, but the funny part is, in retrospect, many of the albums worst critics have come around to absolutely loving the album. This era was the last glimpse of the Slim Shady we grew up with before he became all apologetic and reserved. The only album I liked of his after this is MMLP2, but I wouldn't consider it a classic.
100% agree with this sentiment, i grew up with eminem from slim shady lp and i lost interest after recovery, he went from dissing popstars, politicians and popular culture to making songs with people 10 years earlier he'd of dissed and making songs simping for political campaigns. Slim Shady died after Relapse, I don't understand the hate the album got at all it was better than encore and the eminem show
Okay that Vivian skit leading into psycho is next level my guy. I thought I was a Stan but this fan made project feels like an actual release. And that king Mathers story vid makes so much sense as well. It’s like Em was away but the fans still found a way to piece music together years later and now we know what he was going through 05-09. 💯
Garbage Disposal Em said something about making 50-60 Relapse songs and that’s only for the actual Relapse. There is probably some more when including Relapse 2.
Maaaaaan, this is sooo dope. Love Relapse and this is the perfect companion. Only a little bit through it but the order of the songs checks out. Appreciate you putting descriptions with the songs. Much love. 🙏🏼
On fire is such a good fit for this album, or i guess potential album. Great job with everything and I've literally been returning to your channel for 2 months to see all the fan projects youve worked on, keep it up ;)
It was originally supposed to be on relapse 2 and same thing with so bad, I even remembered thinking that when I first heard recovery, I was so disappointed with recovery but there were a few that I liked the flow of those two reminded me if relapse then years later I found out he originally had those slated to be on relapse 2
I wonder how and when we’ll find more Relapse songs. Em said somewhere that he made like 50-60 songs for Relapse. Plus he made Relapse 2, so there is more to be leaked eventually
According to Em and Dre the 2nd CD that they originally planned on releasing on Relapse was a double album. But when production looked at it the held the second part out for Recovery
This might sound corny but I’m so genuinely happy that I grew up on Eminem and can live the rest of my life hearing him releasing music (or it getting leaked). I just wish I could see him in concert
@@PrincessDesert I was 22 when Em dropped Slim Shady LP so I've been riding since the start, and I think slot of it has to do with memories and where I was when the album was dropped
Relapse really aged like a fine wine, man. I think it’s time. We NEED Relapse 2. Enough time has passed, everyone takes him seriously. Let’s run it up with the sequel.
Per Paul’s Pod (episode 1) they said they didn’t release it because of the leak, but I refuse to believe there isn’t enough good content to release it right now. And hey if not, make more in that style. I know he’s evolved but there’s no harm in revisiting.
@@johnf6063 sadly I don't think he's ever going back to that style, he's too serious now and it's fine he's just evolved as an artist since then and that happens.
Em the emcee came out on Drop The Bomb On 'Em. Always been one of my favs from the Relapse era along with Stay Wide Awake, Medicine Ball, Hello, Same Song and Dance, My Mom, Insane, My Darling and Buffalo Bill. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@ChronicalClinic42 that has absolutely no relevance. Eminem said multiple times in interviews he was planning on releasing a full Relapse 2 album, him "relapsing once" has nothing to do with that.
Music To Be Murdered By should’ve been Relapse 3. If there were less of the poppy stuff, a part 3 to 3 AM/Framed, and a couple more gritty solo deep cuts, it would’ve not only fit the theme better, but would’ve been that. It’s a great modern era Em album, but part of me feels it didn’t quite fully deserve its title and horror imagery and presentation as a theme album
@ChronicalClinic42 so then why did you comment that? you literally said the reason he didnt do Relapse 2 was because he only relapsed once. Are you dumb?
Good stuff always loved this lp don't know why it gets shitted on but love how you Incorporated a lot of the unreleased songs from the other album that was supposed to be with relapse or after relapse
Had this album been released, it would have been better received than Relapse 1 was. Hell, some of these songs could have very well been top classics we would have remembered fondly to this day. Its tough to say if it would have been as much of a financial succsess as Recovery was though.
@@rustedtooth3015 I respect your opinion, but in my opinion But Up is the best song on the album, the reason is because the song is super catchy, and that's why makes Nut Up is the first single of my version of the album.
I remember I heard relapse for first time stoned in 2014 during college (heard it many times before this sober) and was so amazed how good it sounded.. that’s when I realized the album was truly a masterpiece
I'm beginning Methylphenidate soon for ADHD. It's not actually due to ADHD I will use it. It's for other reasons. My psychiatrist knows this, but it has to say for ADHD otherwise it can't be prescribed. I got ADHD as a diagnosis, lucky me. That is enough to get drugs legally. And you know how good music sounds on it? I'm in heaven.. high as shit. Or maybe I should say in hell.. it sounds more fun than heaven if we imagine hell as a joyful place. I never resonated with the peaceful religious type of heaven. Anyway, this is going to be fun. ☺🥲PS: hope no more celebrity join illuminati. Eminem is in illuminati.. which is bad, but I love his music. He shouldn't have signed the contract. The sad thing is that Universal Music Group makes great music. If I made music I would go underground. No signing any contract in blood. No sacrificing any family members or loved ones. I would be an underground rapper rapping about conscious stuff like conspiracies.
Relapse was one of my favourite albums, i was so happy when it dropped cause id been waiting 4 damn years and some for him to drop, i bought relapse as soon as it came out and those accents are like nostalgic to me in a way, love it be should drop a real relapse 2!
Relapse will always have a special place in my heart ❤️ songs like Taking My Ball make me smile or laugh even on my hardest days lmao idk what Em and Dre were smoking during this time but they need to smoke more of that 😭
I remember how big a deal it was when Eminem came back in 2009 and when I heard Relapse I was impressed with Eminem's new direction. I was excited to hear Relapse 2 then he put Recovery out and I was dissapoitned ever since
@@waydecarney4031as close as you're gonna get anyway, 50 said he had so much fucking material from the recordings but those were ones that got leaked, I feel like deep down no matter what Em says hes secretly very proud of that era and was crushed when he got the reception he did, but the thing is hes ALWAYS gotten flack, the only difference this time around was he wasn't on drugs or proof so he had a a hard time letting it roll off and just keep doing what he wanted, not only that, but he had Royce eating off his shine and probably manipulating Em after they patched up their friendship, Em kind of replaced proofs absence with royce and i feel like royce wasnt a good influence on the music, Royce was broke af of course hes gonna tell em whatever he wants to get paid. I'm sure em helped get those tracks leaked so he could get them out without having to take the flack for them. If this was old em he would have dissed Lil Wayne and Kanye once relapse came out and got rap back on track, he probably would have helped kill the trap trend before it blew up like he did when murder inc was turning rap into bullshit R an B trash
Thanks so much for this. Growing up on horrorcore and ironically old ICP and Twiztid. Relapse is top 5 horror core albums 100% and was pissed about Relapse 2 and found this.
This actually really decent evem though it's not official I've been an Eminem fan for years and never heard some of these songs I happy someone made this :)
I didn't like how he laughed when he was killing the girl with the chainsaw. Em scares me sometimes, if I were her in that situation, I would just run home, go in, and lock the door, but that won't help, since chainsaws are powerful, and can cut through doors
I LOVE THIS WHOLE ENTORE CD I CAN RELATE TO UR RAP IVE HAD ALOT OF STRUGGLES IN MY YOUTH UP UNTIL I WAS LIKE 25 ITS DAME GOOD MM, GOD BLESS YOU AND UR STORY, EACH ONE O UR CD' S TELLS , UR STILL STANDIN, YOU' VE RAPPED WHAT YOU' VE LIVED, WELL, DONE🚬✔💯👍😎🇺🇸♠♣♦🚬😇😇😇😇😇😇
I truly love the relapse sound like I've always loved it I don't know maybe it's the connection that I have for it like the help that it gave me I don't know what it is but I love the sound I love how brutal it is the portraying of a serial killer honestly that's why I think it makes it one of my favorites
@@rattingcheese687 Dude, Music Box and 3AM are SOOO good!! I hate that people dislike Relapse so much, its my favorite. On top of those theres also Beautiful, Deja Vu, Bagpipes from Baghdad (which is just funny lol), Hello, We Made You and Old Times Sake. IMO this was his best rhyming in his career just ahead of SSLP/MMLP
I love this. I’m a huge Shady fan BUT not a fan of the mixed tapes or when people just slap a playlist together and call it something. *cough* 90% of RU-vid Music Channels* Ha ha. However, this is well researched. I read everything that you posted and there were some new tidbits that I didn’t even know about relapse 2. Definitely downloading this. Thanks man! Keep up the great work. PS: Maybe a Slim Shady LP 2? :X
Thanks! And I already made a SSLP2, that one is most just for fun, I collected the best 97-99 eminem songs, made/added some skits, did some basic editing and transitions, and boom new album, you can find it on my channel
Okay so if I didn't listen to the whole thing before I finally did now after a year or so LOL great job putting these together I can't believe I never heard that D12 song before I feel like if they could have made that without Eminem maybe Rebrand the group you know something like that I think they could do something without Eminem because that shit was dope
