I relapsed tonight and past week on and off after 5 months sober. I'm very high and barley holding it together rn, I got ahold of it quicker this time and will be getting help in the morning. God bless everyone, stay strong, I wish I had watched these videos before but I didnt. I'm sorry to myself but I'm stronger then I was a year ago , I got this, we got this!

This hella spoke to me. I was sober for 2 years and I stopped working my program of recovery. It was easy for me to go back to drinking and using. I relapsed for two years and I acted out of alignment consistently and surrounded myself with people for the sake of validation versus love. I’ve been sober again for 39 days and although the compiled pain I’ve been running from is hurting to process, I can look in the mirror and smile at myself.❤ don’t give up hope, I wanted to DIE to get rid of the pain and frustration. But now I’m ALIVE and PROCESSING with patience and gratitude. It only gets better when you stop fighting it.

Good job Tommy, always good to hear you... relapse: I look at it like this ; Im either cultivating and nurturing that which I am, or that which I am not... The book tells me that nothing will insure sobriety greater than intensive work with another addict or alcoholic. That action takes me out of selfishness and self centered behaviors... Living to share positivity about a relapse is a very powerful way to carry the message of recovery to those who are still sick... Get to a meeting... love you guys

I'm having frequent slips from the past two months, I would use for 24 hours and then I'll get back up again and never use again for a week then again slip. I've been attending zoom 12 step meetings but I'm stuck in this slip cycles. Often times I forgot that I'm in recovery and this really suck being stuck. Can you suggest something?

Your situation is exactly like mine? Today I have 4 years. Would you like some feedback on your situation? A couple simple questions to you and a couple of observations will direct you to figure out your situation. if you have four days sober you can put together many more if you just know what to do

My opinion. There are reasons that we self medicate on a regular basis. Only put down our substances, the reasons we self-medicated in the first place are still there. We've just numbed ourselves to those issues. The secret is to get to the core issues once and for all and be rid of the toxicity of them. I can say from experience, working the 12 steps is the best therapy out there. By the fourth step, it will become evident why you use and can't stop. Once you've worked all the steps, you will have peace along with no need to self-medicate. At least that's my experience.

I'm trying to comprehend exactly what it is that you are saying. Addiction and Recovery working the 12 steps has been beneficial to me. And countless others that I know. However, there is rigorous maintenance involved. This condition, can take one back down quite quickly, and without Mercy.

Yeah, I didn't find anything this guy said useful. He's been sober since he's a teen or young adult, I believe. Time to move on to different work. He's not relatable to someone struggling.
