RELATABLE CHARACTERS 

Aside from all the sci-fi and life-or-death stuff, Cress from the lunar chronicles is me. I too sit in my room fangirling xD.

I find it so hard to relate to the female characters in YA, but I related a lot to the female characters in the Lunar Chronicles. Especially Cress. I'm awkward, emotional and tend to jump to conclusions 😂

I'd say I can relate to Juliette from Shatter Me series in some ways, mostly in finding herself and learning to fight and be herself. Now my goal is to find my Kenji!

I relate to Cath from Fangirl WAY too much.

I relate most to Cath from Fangirl (introverted, obsessed with books, a writer, it's pretty self-explainatory), Magnus Chase (for I too am dorky, sarcastic and definetely not straight), Cress Darnell from the Lunar Chronicles (the shyness, the nerdiness, the obsessiveness and the anxiety), Hermione Granger (because I am hella bookish and would kill myself to get the best grades) and Tessa Gray (again, the bookishness but also a strong sense of loyalty and kindness).

Magnus Bane. We both have a great sense of style, magical, love glitter, and would do anything to protect those that we live

I relate most to Jacky Faber from the "Bloody Jack" series. She's a major tomboy (at times) and I'm a tomboy. We're both crafty and know how to read people. We both long for adventure, and fun times, and we both love being center of attention when it suits us. I also relate to Hermione Granger. Always reading, always studying, a bit of a loner, definitely a know-it-all.

Great video! I think I relate mostly with Ron Weasley. He jumps to conclusions a lot and gets overshadowed by his best friend.

I relate to cath from fangirl and Charlie from perk of being a wallflower. we all are very shy, quiet and introverted people, awkward in new situations and found it hard to make/find true friends. plus I'm a wallflower too

I relate most to Cath from Fangirl and Emily from Since You've Been Gone! They're both introverted and like to stay in their comfort zone, which is basically me.

I relate most to Luna Lovegood because she's weird but misunderstood and kind hearted and I also relate most to Emma from MPHFPC because she's strong willed and has a fiery attitude This wouldn't be a Jesse video without a MPHFPC reference

A character I literally swear was written based off of me was Cress. EVERYTHING she said and did was sooo me. I'm such a nerd and short and shy and a fangirl all the way haha. If only I could find my Captain Carswell Thorne then life would be great

To me, one of the most relatable characters is definetly August from This Savage Song. He just wants to be human and normal and I loved that about him. Also, he plays the violin and this is my favourite instrument :D

I'm reading Throne of glass right now. Which is tottaly amazing. I love Celaena so much. I'm realating to her so well even though i'm not an assassin. The reason why I realete to her. Is 1.The loylalty she gives to pepole she mostly trust. Even though it takes her ages. And I'm like that. 2.Her love for reading and her curiosty. Just like me she is a reader of worlds that are not her own. 3.Her emotions get the best of her. Especialy her anger. And I can realte to her on that levle so well. 4.The connection she has to music and how she belives it heals her. I love music even though I can't play a piano. I can listen to the music and feel like I am healed when it is finshed. 5.Her determnation she has throughout the story and the way it drives her. I'm like that in so many ways. If I want it i'm going to get it.

I feel like i can also relate to charlie just because when i was in high school i was always that kid in english who knew a lot but never spoke. i feel like i'm really shy, too shy for my own good and it's so hard for me to make friends

I relate most to Hermione from Harry Potter. Unlike most people, I really enjoy school and I love to learn. When I was reading the Harry Potter series, I identified with her in so many ways!!

Neville is on my list too. The way he is shy and unsure of himself is so relatable, as is his loyalty and deep sense of doing what's right. Sticking on the Harry Potter theme, I've been told that I am Luna Lovegood and while I didn't agree at first, I totally see it. I stand by my values no matter what others think (it's not that I don't care, but I stand by my values), I have a gentle, whimsical (hence the username) spirit like she does, and I'm an overall gentle person. I also really relate to Edmund Pevensie from the Chronicles of Narnia. Redeemable characters are my favorite and he embodies that. He's loyal and strong. He learned from his mistakes in ways that I have too. And finally Rapunzel (Tangled version...yes, not a book character, but I HAD to include her). I have big dreams, sometimes feel trapped, am an overall joyful person, I want adventure, but I'm also terrified of it.

I'm a lot like Isabelle Lightwood because I'm very extroverted and I tend to push my friends out of their comfort zones. She's also just a very strong character and really cares about the people she lets herself be close to

I relate so much to Hermione Granger. She was my hero as a kid, and taught me that it was awesome to be smart, but that doesn't have to define who you are. She's hardworking (almost to a point that isn't healthy, which I can relate to as well) and thinks through all the options before making a decision. She doesn't always have her priorities straight ("or worse EXPELLED") but has her heart in the right place.

I always felt like Rose Hathaway from the Vampire Academy series and I were a lot alike. She is strong headed but almost to a fault, and speaks wiithout thinking but has good in her heart. I think thats why that series will always be one of my absolute favs.

I love how you held up City of Glass for the series! It's the best! In school, I always felt like Hermione and teachers ignored my raised hand like her. I must have been so annoying. I hard core relate to Lola & I want her life. I also relate to Charlie from perks and Also Finch from All the Bright Places

My friends say that I am girl Simon and one of them is only on City of Glass and she doesn't like Izzy yet and she said that in class to another person and I ligit screamed, "Quit hating in my girlfriend." Now my whole first hour literature class thinks I am a lesbian.

Characters I really relate to: Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables) - I can be very passionate about finding beauty in the world, and I get myself into lots of awkward situations. But I also end up making unlikely friends, and I can also be quite ridiculous and ~dramatic~ in my love of stories. Hermione Granger (Harry Potter) - younger me was even more like her. Extremely bookish, obsessed with doing well in school. Now, I relate more to her resourcefulness, her cleverness, and her dedicated friendship.

it's kinda weird but i relate to Will Herondale because of his love for books,the way his heart broke,and they way he loved the people in his life. i can also relate to tessa for the same reasons

One of my faveees is Elena from Kindret Sprits by Rainbow Rowell, i think she is super duper cool, and combines the extrovert part of her life with the introvert part of her life in a very cool way

I most relate to Merlin from the BBC show (not a book, I have yet to find a SUPER relatable book character). I can't describe exactly why...I just think like him, make most of the same facial expressions, and my best friend is exactly like Arthur.

I relate a lot to Alaska young from looking for Alaska (apart from her using guys and smoking and things of that sort) she kind of goes through a lot of emotional turmoil on the outside but tries to cover it up by being crazy, and I also relate to Charlie from the perks of being a wallflower because he just tries his best to be nice to people but somehow he always ends up hurting people or getting hurt in some way, but a book character i relate to THE MOST, like if I was a book character I'd literally be them, is Noah from I'll give you the sun, besides him being more talented, jealous and stubborn than I am, we are the same person in ways of thinking, reactions and our out look on the world (also in how we love people)

This was so funny, but also really cute :) Love it!! And some of those people you mentioned my favorite characters :) The first person that comes to mind as far as a character like me--Bella from Twilight. Sounds kind of dumb, but I remember reading the first book and thinking that someone was watching me on camera and then writing a book about me!! LOL! I moved from a big city to an itty bitty nothing town in high school, and really had a lot of the same issues she did. It wasn't as far away as her move, though. I also have almost the exact same personality, and am especially klutzy. I didn't fall in love with an elusive vampire, but I did with a guy who gave me the most mixed messages for almost a year before we started going out, then our relationship was all kinds of ups and downs, with a big break up like Bella had in New Moon (although I was not quite as depressed as she.) Turned out years later, I found out he was gay. Explained A LOT!!! Anyways, that first book in Twilight especially, I really related to Bella as a character.

I relate most to Cath from Fangirl. I have social anxiety, I'm extremely close with my sister and I spend a lot of time writing a fanfiction that's actually fairly popular. My sister even calls me Cather. (She was the one to introduce me to the book)

I would say I relate to Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell just because I feel like I would be too afraid to go even find the dining hall let alone actually go to it in college. That's now like my number one fear because of that book. I also am very introverted like her and love fantasy novels. The other character I would relate to is probably Hermione Granger because though i'm not as smart as her I do still have that ambition level that she has however I just want to take higher classes and get as much knowledge as I can. (Nobody can be Hermione Granger level academically. I doubt.)

One character that I really relate to is Simon from Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. Our families are kind of similar in the way that they act. And we both aren't very emotional but cry when we get frustrated.

I would say Cath from Fangirl is one of them. I also had a fanfic phase that hit me like a runaway train. So much that I still like and write fanfics even today! I also relate to the struggles she had with taking care of her father since I've been in a similar position with a member of my family. The other, might sound cheesy, but is Hermione Granger. No one understood my obsession with studying, discovering new things and being curious, even sometimes annoying, pursuit of the truth. (It involves questioning pretty much everything). I liked that she never let anyone took that away from her to fit in and it inspire me to do the same. It's ok to be diferent, I guess.
