Relationship Expert Reacts to THE SHARTNEY MARRIAGE! 

Shortly after that zoom Podcast you watched, Shayne broke his ankle. Courtney started driving him to work and eventually secretly moved in with him. It's unclear whether this is before or after they started dating but the primary reason for the cohabitation was to make it easier for Courtney to take care of Shayne, even though he was needing it less and less. Over the past two and a half to three years, there are Instagram photos of them wearing each other's clothes, vacationing in London together, and slow dancing. The way I see it they were close friends for at least six years before starting to date three years ago, getting engaged last fall, and married in March.

They just did a podcast together. Very much married. And very happy. Literally each others best friends

They are married. They finally talked about it on the Smosh Mouth podcast. They had a very small wedding where they eloped at a courthouse. A couple days ago Courtney (along with other friends) her & Shayne’s party. So I assumed they wanted a small wedding, but a huge party. Her dad even posted early on. Both of them are very private people and they wanted to keep it private for many reasons. I’m so happy for them.

Anthony my guy it is real 😂 Damien confirmed it and then she posted, and then her dad posted, and now they genuinely just want privacy 🤣

it’s real! there’s photo of them with each others family since 2021. their family have it as their layout! also their friends sometimes accidentally leaked stuff like the slow dancing, hugging in the pool, there’s double dates, photos where u can see shayne is taking the photos, going to his friends stuff together. 😭 also courtney sometimes slips and says something like “we” and the cast (damien) has to save them lmao they’ve been together maybe since late 2019 because in 2020 they were alr doing family trips.

Why are we still questioning the legitimacy of this it's very obviously real.

okay normally I side with Anthony when it comes to these things but he didn't do deep enough research. If you look at Courtney's RU-vid channel or some of Shane's posts from his apartment you can see the same exact pieces in the same exact places, implying that they've been living together. Also from Courtney's RU-vid channel you can see that her apartment only has one bedroom. Plus there's numerous photos that have been posted with Shayne and Courtney acting coupley and hanging on each other in the backgrounds, that then get deleted a few minutes after. No hate but a google search can show you this evidence.

I think it's kind of genius of the Miller/Topp duo to publicise their relationship in such a 'Smosh' way that is true to their humour. It is real, perhaps has been for the last 2-3 years and I'm personally very happy for them. They're hella compatible, and you can see how much respect and love they have for each other. I think it has been a classic case of 'she fell first, he fell harder'.

also their videos get cut a lot if u watch the live streams. it’s a whole different vibe, even more back in 2020 like there was so much flirting and stuff. shayne is more reserved than courtney like they’re the opposite even in like affection because she loves physical contact and he doesn’t. but there’s a lot of videos that were found (not stalkers ) where shows shayne being very touchy like caressing

To be fair, that really sounds like a Shayne+Courtney thing to do "Let's post about our marriage on 1st April, everybody will think it's a joke, but the joke is, it's not!"

I think it also clears things up that they technically eloped, so it wasn't a big wedding. I believe each of them invited their best friend with a +1 and the officiant.

The reason you thought it looked like a Smosh video is that the photographer is the Smosh cameraman. Courtney and Shayne decided that they wanted to come out with a public announcement after the wedding and with it being so close to April Fool's Day couldn't pass up the opportunity for a joke. Then, they did the April 2nd posts and then a podcast to reassure people the wedding was real. As far as not seeing much family, both Shayne and Courtney's families live out of state. Shayne is from Arizona and Courtney is from Utah and that is where they go for family gatherings. So, I assume that is where the majority of the families live.

When they got married, your video was on my recommended feed constantly. And it just would not go away til I watched it. Happy to see a followup 😊

I can understand the hesitation since you haven't consumed a lot of smosh content, but if you know their personalities, it's easy to see that those photos were purposefully done silly. Normally those signs you pointed out would be correct, but they both have a history of keeping their private lives, well, private.

That video where Courtney “proposes” to Shayne was after they actually got engaged witch is why everyone is having that reaction cuz they thought he was going to say yes. Shayne also talked about it in a Smosh mouth episode that came out yesterday that he wanted to say no because he knew what was coming and he thought that it would be funny.

There is so much evidence they are married so I don’t get why you’re focusing on tinnnyy things to try to confirm that they’re not? Their friends and family literally posted about it. There is a people magazine article about it. Multiple members of smosh confirmed it.

Aside from a comment on Tumblr about seeing them together at Trader Joe's in 2020, Shayne is SUPER obvious and weird during the Zoom Imposter Quiplash when Courtney claims she shaves like 4-5 times a month, and no one believes her but Shayne. Also, based off her marriage post, the only old pic of them was in Australia signaling that that's when they got together. Also, they both had rings on in the current live TNTL vid.

Lots of their family and friends, including courtney’s parents have posted pictures and clips from their wedding. I definitely wasn’t 100% sure about it being true but now I’m definitely sure about it being real. Especially with the post by their friends, family, and them and with them wearing their wedding rings in videos and the live they did yesterday. Also for people who aren’t aware Courtney uses she/they pronouns and Shayne uses he/him :)

HARD DISAGREE dont think the shipping pushed them together, if anything it blocked them.

Alot of factors point to them starting dating shortly after Shaynes Graduation. By the time they did the shartney podcast they were dating but not living together yet. They moved in together about a year after that.

Nah it’s definitely real, too much evidence/posting on personal accounts in the last few weeks that is tonally different and less conservative when it comes to posting them together outside of Smosh shoots

I think the reason the wedding looked so fake is because they only posted photos where their families weren't in shot, for privacy reasons. And I think they both explained in the podcast that neither of them wanted an extravagant "celebrity wedding" and they just wanted to keep it casual and cheap. And that's probably why Courtney's dress is very plain.

The reason why the wedding photos might have seemed a bit off to you is because they actually got eloped so it wasn't like a big wedding. Their families were definitely there but since Shane and Courtney are very much in the public eye I don't think they like posting their families that much on their public figure instagrams. There are a lot of weird people who pry and make assumptions about the smosh crew's lives so I think it was just a hard launch/announcement.

Now they had 3 receptions, first after the elopement, then with their friends lastly the recent beautiful pics from their celebration with their family. 😭

Uh, excuse you?! I'm *_48_* years old and I'm watching this!!! I think your assumptions were freaking hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Call me weird (cuz I am haha), but I've been watching Smosh for years. I love that the founders, Ian and Anthony, were best friends in middle and high school when they started it and have rekindled that friendship over the past year, after they had split for about six years. The way they talk about their friendship reminds me so much of my relationship with my own best friend, whom I've known since high school. We've had our ups and downs, and like them, our friendship was strained to the breaking point a few times as well, but we've managed to recover from those times and remain BFFs. Ian and Anthony's story is so heartwarming to me. And the same goes for Shartney! I'm fangirling about it just as much as people less than half my age! Age has absolutely nothing to do with it. Again, it's the story for me. I guess I gravitate toward stuff like this because I'm a writer. It's just so damn sweet. And the fact that it's real makes it even sweeter. But even if it had turned out to be one big joke, sure it would've upset me and countless others, but I'd have gotten over it because at the end of the day, it's still an awesome story. Friendship--and love--always wins! 💖💖

To top it off they talked about it in the podcast finally so even though we’ve known it’s REAL REAL for a while NOW ITS REALLY REAL and they explained there relationship and decisions a bit ❤

Plus lying on social media is something most RU-vidrs do but i don't think they would go that far and accept a interview with people's magazine which is a pretty good reliable news website, shane might but if its Courtney no way

I think people might be too hard on you. It’s nice to see a perspective from someone who doesn’t watch Smosh regularly. For us, we know the context of all of these videos and there are numerous references Shayne makes in the Smosh Mouth podcast. He says at one point that his ideal proposal would be something simple and meaningful and he gives an example of hiking. 😆

It’s honestly just obvious that you don’t know like them like their personalities, because Courtney 🧀 would never wear like a huge poopy dress because she’s just not a girly girl and like literally almost every video where they do the information guessing peoples, whatever Shane gets almost everybody’s information on those videos. Like I really just think he’s somebody who really listens to people and pays attention to what they say. I also think that the fact that they hide it so well it just kind of become a part of their relationship like I think lying about what they really are. Has been unknown thing for a while, obviously nobody knows when they started dating except for them and probably they’re close friends and family but I honestly think they were probably dating around the time that podcast was filmed and just knew how to play it off so people didn’t suspect anything because they weren’t ready for it to be in the open. So you said that there aren't family photos, there are 2 different pictures where Shane and Courtney are in eachothers family photos at different times and different locations, they're also almost always together and some fan found some evidence that they actually live together not to mention they share clothes , plus they did this whole thing on April fools which is so out of the blue that nobody..not a single soul expected it so while it is a perfect prank its also something that they totally would have done and meant it

I feel like you got this wrong because you lacked some info on their personalities. Like, Shayne has said multiple times he is actually a very shy guy in real life. And since they were keeping the relationship private it makes sense they had a small private wedding. Courtney is pansexual and non binary. So I expected them to not wear a "regular" super feminine wedding dress. But yeah, posting it on April's 1st was definitely what made people doubt it the most!😂

i'll say the only sus thing is that in their newest videos. courtney is wearing a wedding ring, but shayne isn't. but i don't know nowadays if it's more common for men not to wear their rings

The reason this one flops is due to your lack of investigation. You refused to watch the progress of the chemistry thru out the years. Second all of the things you are waiting/looking for is already posted and you just refused to do your due diligence. It's more of a cash grab/clout chase.
