Relationship red flags 🚩🚩| The Unpopular Opinion UG 

My red flag that many may not find so important is partners who do not emotionally let you in. They are usually afraid of letting you see their soul or feel they have to be 'strong' or put this face on so you never really know what is truly on the inside. That mask falls off and can leave you every disappointed.

You are preaching! I am back to 'sing' communication. A partner who can't communicate is a big NO. We are adults and expressing our feelings- great or uncomfortable should be bare minimum. Tell me how you become a nag because you what to discuss real issues🤔...before somebarre 'accidentally' puts a pillow over your face as you sleep. Nedda. On top of sweeping things under the rug, there are those who use silent treatment as a weapon. Suddenly you are replaying conversations and actions so that you can decide what you did wrong because someone lost their speech (except they can conveniently speak to everyone else🤔) Walking on eggshells at our big age? NO. **** Narcissism. We should be on the look out.(please read up extensively on this if you haven't already/if you suspect your person is exhibiting the characteristics) Their charm and confidence might draw you in but it comes at a price, eventually (e.g their manipulation, gaslighting insecurity, lack of empathy or reciprocity etc) It is important to identify narcissistic traits so that you decide if you are going to run or how you shall (better) handle things should you decide to stay. And as a parting shot, your partner/friends/family are not your therapists. Please find professional help if you can afford it or work towards solutions that will help with healing.

My redflags:👇🏾🚨 A sweet talker who always borrows my money but when it’s my turn he’s broke. 🤬 ( Parasites) He forces me with his charmig ways to squeeze him in my schedule but when it’s my turn, he’s busy or low battery. Aaaahh.😨( Smart wire ) He’s always late to our appointments pretending he passed out then appears in the middle of the night when ur resting and done everythg all by urself. SLAY KINGS.😤 # Ndi mukoowu!✌🏽

A partner who always tries to put you down and makes you feel small simply because they never want you to realize that you deserve better

Laziness breeds poverty. Biggest red flag, we all need a partner that's going to challenge us in different aspects of life, do things differently basically be a better version of ourselves.

The biggest red flag for me is a partner who makes me doubt or question my instinct and gut feeling. I recently had this validated. And now I know for sure, my instinct will never lie to me, my body will never lie to me, and this sense I have about certain things will never lie to me..

I personally think most of our mothers sacrificed so much to remain in their marriages that at times they stayed in abusive relationships because of that mentality. This is now a huge deal for us that were raised in such homes

A red flag for me to look out for is a man that expects the woman to persue and drive to their house or plan all the time for a date. I have a sister that everytime she asked her man to choose where he wanted to go out and eat he would always shrug his shoulders and say "i dont know. Where do 𝐲𝐨𝐮 wanna go?" He wouldnt at least 𝐭𝐫𝐲 to plan and be romantic for her. It was exhausting for her. Men in this generation are becoming more feminine to me but its to the point where we love our man more than he loves us and thats not how it should be. If a man isnt putting in the effort, ladies RUN. Dont wait for him to change. You can change a teenage boy..not a man.

Red Flag a partner who is good to you but not good to other people. Your turn is coming.

All of these are so relatable. I would say men who talk badly about their exes, it shows a lack of accountability and a disrespect towards women. Also men who have a strained relationship with their mother and show no motivation to want to address it.
