As a young married man. I would say the only thought I have that didn’t fully align with what y’all were saying is that love is everything. Reason being all those things you mentioned about making a marriage work or long relationship, wouldn’t happen if you didn’t love the other person. To love someone means you are willing to change parts of yourself because your significant other is doing the exact same. Picking up clothes on the floor, putting things away in specific ways, all that. You wouldn’t do it if you never loved the person. You would be much more inclined to be like naaaa I’m good I do it the way I do it. I hope this reads to make sense haha

It’s true a relationship is more than just loving someone because just the basics a lot of relationship lack so much such God, respect, self love, vision, character, consideration, growth etc. Love is more of an action word but people live in it as simply a feeling. So yeah a lot core values are supposed stem from love and help the relationship grow outside of love.

Back then a lot of women thought they need a man to provide for them, but since more women are making their own 🙌🏾 that’s not really needed anymore.
