Relax Or Fall Asleep To Relaxing & Peaceful Oddworld Music, namely the main themes of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. I came up with this idea after seeing 'fall asleep' and 'relaxation' videos and one day feeling immensely stressed and putting on Free Fire Zone from Oddworld Abe's Oddysee and it just destressed me immensely. I was like 'ooh, that's what I needed!' The music of Oddworld, composed by Ellen Meijers and Josh Gabriel, is simply so beautiful and peaceful, I thought it'd be the perfect music to use in a fall asleep or relax music video. Relaxing music seems to be a forte of these game composers! I just hope my choice of music, literally just the Oddworld Abe's Oddysee theme music and the Oddworld Abe's Exoddus theme music from the Oddworld OST original sountrack and the way I merged every version of each theme together, as there's actually multiple versions of Free Fire Zone, also known as Stockyards, which is essentially the main theme of Oddworld Abe's Odyssey including a version that appears in Oddworld: New N' Tasty. When I came up with the idea for this, I listened to various Oddworld music to try to find the most peaceful music I could. While there's more I could've used, I decided to stick with the very natural, peaceful and similar sounding soundtracks of the main themes for Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, as well as the variant featured in Oddworld New N Tasty. Either way, I hope someone will gain enjoyment from this video and, who knows, someone might actually fall asleep to it, or at least relax! I know I'll personally find it usefull when I'm trying ot just be peaceful, destress and relax and feel mystical and natural or in nature or something like that. I don't know. You figure out what it means to you and how it makes you feel I guess.Oh! I've got one more story actually! So, basically, I remember as a child being in my sister's room and I think I was ill and I was playing Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus and I guess I fell asleep and when I woke up I was just sitting in this room alone with the PS1 controller in my hand. It was completely silent, not a single sound. The game was paused. And after a moment I pressed the pause button to unpause the game and the 'DOING' noise, or however it sounds, was POWERFUL. SO INTENSE. It felt amazing. Just being in this silent room and thne hearing the noises of Oddworld, first that sound and then simply the sound of the gameplay of Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus (I was in Necrum Mineworks at the time if I recall correctly, close to the beginning of the game.) So, yeah, this video was also kind of inspired by that experience. Oddworld and sleep go malte bene together.This video, arguably is kinda lazy, it's literally just 25 minutes or so of the main themes of the Oddworld games. I obviously had to add my own thing to it, hence why I created the animation of Abe's Moon in the night sky to give a visual element to the relaxation process for those that wanted it. I think I will spend many nights, when I want to relax, just staring at the screen, listening to the natural wonders that these themes are with my headset on, watching the clouds drift past, eclipsing the bright shine of Abe's Moon in the vibrant blue Oddworld Stockyard sky. It definitely enhances the relaxation experience, in my personal opinion anyway. At least that was my hope!
