I have truly enjoyed the conversations that the two of you have shared on your channels. I think just doing these types of collaborations will go a long way in bringing the community closer together.

I truly enjoyed your video and interview with Coily Dairies. I've been a subcriber to her channel for some time. I believe both of you are a great asset to the natural hair community. I agree with many of the ideas you both presented. I thought your questions were thought provoking and I knew Coily Dairies would handle them in a well thought and humbling way. I too believe that God has made each of us in an unique way. Not only does he know us by the amount of hairs we have, but he knows each of us by name. I believe its in Isaiah, where it says I knew you before you entered the womb. I agree our natural hair wasn't meant to be tamed in such a way that it cannot thrive. For me combs and brushes was definitely the culprit for my hair. I stopped using them for about a year now, started taking suggestions from Coily Dairies regarding moisture and hydration, and my hair has flourished. I loved your collaboration and I look forward to you both doing it again in the near future. God bless to you both and your families. ❤❤❤

I love how eloquently you both describe and teach us what works for our hair to be healthy and long. So excited I found your channel, I have been lost on what to do with my hair. Both of you have gorgeous hair ❤

Interesting conversation, ladies. I grew up in Africa too. Throughout primary and secondary school we were required to shave off our hair - the scalp had to be visible at all times. I was also in boarding school, and every month we had to find someone to shave our hair off during the term. So once I got to the university and had the opportunity to grow out my hair, I didn’t know what to do, and wasn’t interested because almost no one around me had natural hair. I did a lot of relaxing for manageability like everyone else, but my hair was usually braided with added hair. I stopped relaxing about 10 years ago but it never grew past the twa stage. just recently, I started following RU-vidrs, particularly those with my hair texture to learn how to take care of my hair. The day my hair grows to your lengths, I won’t know how to act.

That's so interesting that your school required you to do that. That sounds like a common thing in Africa. Good luck with your new journey!

I am Zambian and I was surprised to hear her say that the standard of beauty has not shifted from straight to curly yet... I live in the capital city and most people ars more comfortable wearing their natural hair or braids and twists or dreads than straight hair or weaves. In fact even in saloons relaxed hair is becoming less common... but I would say silk presses on natural hair are just starting to become popular when previously it was just blowdrying... natural hair is even more popular in the other towns where they do not have as much access to weaves except for a select few... and yes it is the norm for schools not to allow permed relaxed or straight hair or weaves and wigs...

Hmmmm interesting. Like I said before everyone gotta learn about their natural hair. For the woman who return to relaxers sad😢...relaxers does destroy our natural hair. The reason what opened my eyes to go natural is the movie "good hair." It is good to get reminders I know natural hair is not easy but if you know why you choose it in the first place you would never go back to relaxers.

I get so tired of women wearing protective styles and then pulling it out ,because they really don't know what thier doings at all.stop cutting your hair if its not damaged. And stop using combs, they are not good for 4c hair,it causes break on your, use your fingers, you will get better results.
