It's been years since you posted this, but I have to tell you that yours is my most favorite beach video because it is real. I love the birds running around and the occasional strollers and dogs. I've been watching this one for years. Thank you!
And thank you for saying exactly the same things I've been saying for years! I love this video; it's the only one I watch anymore. The funny thing is, even after all this time, I keep seeing new things: new people; new birds and animals; new sets of waves - some seriously strong for this close to the shoreline. Love it.
Agree! The sound is the most calming! I wonder if the guy who says “best seat in the house” knows he’s on a video people appreciate! 🌊🪷🦋🐬🧚🏼🏄🏽♀️🏄🏻♀️🏄🏼♀️🏄🏿♀️🧜🏽♀️🧜🏼♀️🧜🏿♀️🌊🌊🌊
So glad this is still up. I have watched this for years! My daughter and I used to sit in the garden with our feet in the sand pit and close our eyes and dream that we were at the sea! Now she lives near the beach! Dream come true! Love this video so much!
It has to do with breakline... where the waves break. This is really short and known in the La Jolla area beaches, but not all. These were my dad's favorite beaches in San Diego. I prefer IB at the pier. But I love the sound here as it's not as thunderous as IB. It also depends on the terrain. As you can see from the shadows, this is a short shoreline from the hills/cliffs. 😊
My name is Riya Majumder. I am from India. I'm am suffering senior depression and anxiety. I have no friends. I am very lonely. But this video makes me happy. Thank you so much for uploading it.
I'm so glad the internet can brings us something like this when we can't always afford to go to these places. Thanks to whoever made this, it really is quite awesome.
Man, this really sounds like you are at the beach, balcony doors open, curtains blowing (I have my fan on oscillate), my eye mask on, it's like I am there. Down to the occasional bird and human voices. I love this! Thank you so much for making it.
thank you so much. this reminds me of home. I've spent the last 10 months in Afghanistan and all there is is sand and no beaches. I love the ocean, it is so powerful. Thank you
Hi. I'm from Baja, Mexico, but I've been living away from the sea for too many years. Recently I've been so stressed out, panicking even, and nothing seemed to bring me peace. That is, until now. Thank you so much for uploading this, it's absolutely wonderful.
These relax vids are great! I'm glad you found one you like. I also like rainfall ones and mountain streams. They are helpful for the soul and mind and body.
Me too! I was born in Waikiki and raised in San Clemente - both within 1 mile from the beach. I've been away for the past 8 years and I hate it. This helps!! Mahalo and Aloha!
No me había dado cuenta de tu comentario paisano, misma situación por acá. Un cordial saludo desde el otro lado del charco... sin playas... de Tijuana. FIN
Thanks for posting this! I miss California wave sound! Born and raised in San Diego. It sounds different then other beaches around the world. I'm cured! In Massachusetts now.
I know this was a few years back, but what part of San Diego are you from, if you don't mind me asking? I moved around a lot on this side of the country but always ended up back in San Diego. I don't want to give my location since I currently live in SD, but I used to live South Bay for part of my childhood and part of my teens 🌅
I’m babysitting a 10 month old right now and this is the only thing that is helping her get to sleep. Thank you so much! I hope everyone has an amazing life and gets great sleep!
It's difficult to find a video with both excellent sound AND live video. I don't listen to this to fall asleep. I listen to relax and relieve anxiety. I simply sit and close my eyes or read. Thank you for posting this.
I bookmarked this a few years ago and chose it today. I love all the goings on with the birds, the swimmers, the people who walk by now and then. Makes me smile.
My girlfriend and I listen to this EVERY night. Nothing on the tube compares to the California waves. They're just like "home". Since this is where we live......
Amazing. I don't live near the beach but with your video I can imagine, pray, be awestruck, calm, sleep, breathe. So grateful for your video. Thank you.
Remember as children coming to the beach, mesmerized by the sound of the waves and breathing ocean. How freeing it was and still is, washing away all our troubles for the day, coming away feeling so refreshed? I want to do that now by the side of this program, thank you for bringing us the pure and simple video of rolling waves at a beach all by itself.
Thank you very much for this video. I was born and grew up on the Atlantic coast, then I moved to Ontario. I listen to it when I'm home sick and it helps a lot.
Out of all of the "Ocean Waves" videos that I've downloaded, yours is by far the very best. Even the sounds of the body surfers are soothing. I'm from Culver City CA, now in GA, and this video reminds me of my childhood at Dockweiler, Venice, Santa Monica, and Zuma Beaches back in the 80's. Thanks so much for sharing it with all of us.
I have to tell you how much this video has been a HUGE blessing to me since i found it several years ago ~ i live in Nashville TN about 8 hours from the beaches and whenever i want to relax and just focus on a book or the Word of God it always calms me down and reminds me of our Creator who has made everything good! I always smile when i hear the man talking to you - who you thought ruined your recording - and i am always a little envious watching the men in wetsuits playing in the waves, especially the one who squeals with delight at a monster wave coming down on them! Thank you SO MUCH for creating this awesome video - God bless you real good!
The sound quality makes my apartment feel like it's a beach house. Many other videos/sounds sound canned or manufactured. This video was recorded with very clear audio and at a beach spot where the wave intervals are well spaced, offering the spacial variable that makes ocean tones sound "relaxing."
This is one of the best videos on RU-vid. The modern way of life often takes us away from nature but those who know it’s power will find a way back. S/o the everybody watching this.
This is exactly what I needed to help de-stress! Thank you so much...I miss sitting by the Pacific enjoying that sound you captured ...including the seagulls...and watching the waves crash in to the shore. Nice!
Grew up on California beaches and I haven't had that for a decade. I haven't been able to swim or boogie board for a decade. This brought all of the good feelings back.
I just caught the scent of saltwater breeze in the air. :) It was nice watching the sun rise up and become noon, and to watch the people diving in the waves.
Watching this while taking a practice bar exam. So relaxing! fantastic that it is not on a loop. I am fantasizing that I am looking out my window right now.
Thank you so much. This is perfect. I love the ocean and I'm most at peace with myself and the universe when I'm there. Only get there once a year but it's heaven. I watch this while listening to audio books.. Perfection.
So calming! A great help when mind is bogged down with too much work pressure. It gives a feel that we are at the beach. Thanks. I have benefitted from it, quite often. Love ❤️ it.
love this video.. so soothing baby loves it too... can't wait till he's big enough to one day take him to see real waves :) he's been listening to this since birth
This video is used in an app for my Samsung SmartTV, credited to Dennis Hansen. I put this video on almost every night to help me fall asleep. It's beautiful to look at before I close my eyes, and the sounds of waves crashing works like a charm to help me fall asleep. Love it.
So many other videos seem to speed up the frequency of waves. They just don't sound right. This is just right, although I'd love to be able to hear the waves as they drag back out as well but hey. I'm just being fussy. Hopefully this'll help me sleep. :)
I have never commented on anybody's video before, but I really enjoyed this video. I use to live 10 minutes from the beach and recently moved where the nearest beach is over an hour and a half. It still didn't compare to my home beach....yours did. Your's made me home sick but yet very relaxing. Thank you dearly..
I love how everyone is here to calmly listen to the sound of the ocean, while I'm here literally on the verge of tears and panicking as I watch this to try to improve my aquaphobia before I am forced to go to the beach in a few days. 😭
Thank you for this. I miss the beach so much. Every time I try to plan a trip something happens. Last time my much to young husband had a heart attack.. I have Lupus and it was a dream of mine to get there...but it just never works..So thank you for this. I guess when you are born in California that need to be on a beach never dies...lol
Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Attack Mania Episodes, Schizoaffective-Bipolar 911 aid thanks so much for this I really need this everyday this is my medicine 24/7!
I love watching & listening to waves. It really is soothing and in a way sitting & listening helps me feel connected to the world. Well thanks for posting the vid. Now I have something to meditate to. (I'm not buddhist before anyone asks. I just feel at peace when near nature.)
Thank you so much. When I was a kid we always lived near the ocean, but for the past 36 years this has not been the case. The countryside has its own delights, but I do miss the ocean. I wish I had a huge screen on which to show this, but I can be content with this little one. Now, if I could just smell the salt air and feel the vapor. Also love those little birds (sandpipers?).
"There is a dog running in your computer, also an ocean" said an office mate. "Precisely" I replied. Thank you, this makes an excellent background for my work environment.
Thank you, thank you thank you. We recently moved from SoCal to PA and I miss and long for THIS so MUCH. I have videos of my own from Stone Step Beach in Encinitas, some from beaches around La Jolla and also Laguna but they are never long enough. Yours are perfect. Thank you again. 🥰🥰🥰
I almost have watched the entire video. I love the people in it. It is so peaceful and lovely to watch them while having a great summer night with friends on the balcony. Very harmonic :-) Thank you so much
+diane9247 I simply adore HMB. sPENT A LOT OF TIME THERE, i MISS IT SO. bUT TO AGE & HEALTH ISSUES i CAN'T GO THERE ANYMORE, SO i WATCH THIS VID & one that has a lot of seagulls in it. It helps me relax.
Great video. I live in a beach community in the coastal bend in south Texas. I moved from Cali to Austin back in 2003. I was so stressed out and finally figured out I had to get back to the oceans. I miss Cali beaches. I am happy to be near the marina and on an island peninsula near the island of Port Aransas. Thanks for the beautiful relaxing ocean waves. The ocean is part if my blood, I am convinced
well it's the real thing. i miss the beach so looking at this brings back this feeling of serenity. wish i could live at the beach and wake up to this.
