Your review of Daughter of the forest kind of reminded me of The Night circus that I enjoyed very much! Gorgeous writing, very slow and atmospheric, though the ending is not amazing. And I also do love folklore retellings, like The bear and the nightingale! 🦢

I also really enjoyed daughter of the forest. I just started continuing on with the series today. I’m glad us discord people influenced you to try Bridgerton lol. It really is such a fun time. Also, I’m a big fan of folklore retellings. I tend to save a lot of them for winter time but I just love them. 🦢🦢🦢🦢

Folklore retellings really are great, I like them because it adds that slightly darker element to a story while still feeling comforting because its a story I know. Honestly I can't be stopped when it comes to Bridgerton 🤣 1 episode a day did not last

🦢 I loved the first two seasons of Bridgerton but this latest season is not really a favourite. I can't explain why but I have not enjoyed it as much.
