You might remember this client who had an ingrown toenail her last video has over 2,250,000, You won’t believe what the nail looks like now, today I’m going to show you exactly what causes an ingrown toenail and how to prevent one! Last weeks game was so fun, I love reading all the comments and was so happy to hear from so many of you, we are going to play another game today but you have to listen for the instructions so stay tuned.
I don’t know if I have ever mentioned this technique in my videos before. Do you notice how I use my thumb on my left hand to pull the skin down and away from the nail, it opens up the space to allow me more room to insert the nippers and trim the nails.
This is the part of the nail that often gets left behind and creates a sharp pointed area of the nail that can poke into the skin if left behind and that is why you need to have a nice sharp point on the end of your nippers to make that clean snip.
Prevention is the key it is easier to prevent a problem and preserve your feet rather than recover from a bigger issue.
So many of you have been asking to see the foot massage and leg massage, it is very relaxing and asmr. Today I left it in the video so the polishing portion is in fast forward to make up for the added time. I hope it is relaxing and helps people with insomnia and anxiety relief. Personal attention is important in today’s busy world so be kind to yourself. Tell me if you think it is tingting asmr worthy.
One of the things I use in my life to keep myself balanced and feeling productive and useful is I like to do something every day for someone I love, do something for myself and do something for a stranger. I love to share my knowledge to help and spread awareness about what so many people forget about, their feet. Foot health is so important and what I am known for. this is today's game, I want you to tell me in the comments what your biggest concern for your feet is. Or maybe you just love to watch and learn.and I wonder how many of the 255 videos I have on this channel you have watched? But what I want you to do for today's game, is copy and paste one of my videos that helped you the most in response to one of the comments about their biggest concerns. Not only will this help me, but it will help them and hopefully help you feel great that you helped someone in need. I hope you also find it relaxing and reminds you that personal attention is important. Who knew a pedicure massage would be so tingting asmr relaxing and help with anxiety.
I can’t wait to hear what you have to say and I could even use your concerns to write articles to address those concerns.
I have had comments thanking me for my videos because they help people who have insomnia fall asleep. They find the videos relaxing and tell me they should be in the category of asmr because it helps their anxiety and acts like brain melting. The leg massage and sea salt scrub have nice personal attention tingting asmr. I am really glad it helps people fall asleep and provide anxiety relief.

I've never been to one period because I am afraid they won't do that or other things I want done. Am I supposed to tell them? I feel dumb and never call anywhere for an appointment. I am also secretly afraid they will talk about me in a foreign language. 🤪

I wrote basically the same comment a few months ago! I have had quite a few pedicures in my life and not one did anything besides cut & file my nails, do a little massage & polish them!! This very thorough pedicure would be especially helpfully for those who can not do it for themselves!!!

I’m more concerned with my sons feet then my own, he’s had surgery to remove his ingrown toenails. I never knew about how impacted skin can irritate and feel like an ingrown. I recently made sure to show him how to clean his toenails and I removed all that skin for him. He was complaining of pain and that took care of it! I’d love a pedicure from you! I’ve never had one! As always sending love and positivity ♥️

My biggest concern is taking care of my feet and nails properly as they are changing. When I was younger I was a dancer on pointe and I wore pretty high heels consistently. Ironically, I never really had problems back then like I do now, now that I mainly wear flats and comfortable shoes and don’t really do anything that causes pain in my feet. But in the last couple years or so I’ve been dealing with impacted nails, ingrown on one nail, the thickness and shape is changing, etc. So your content has helped me tremendously! Mainly the ones where you explain differences between impacted and ingrown nails, how to take care of them and more. Thank you so much for your videos!!

Your videos helped me learn to take care of my big toes! Also to learn that my toenails are more impact than ingrown. I used to do the typical round cut down the problem side to get the nail out, then repeat when it grew back. But after finding your videos I started doing more filing, removing all the dead skin after a shower , and cutting my nails more regularly rather than when they get bad. It’s been a slow process but I’m finally noticing significantly less discomfort , and my nails look normal and not all crooked from how I was cutting them. I do sometimes miss the satisfaction of pulling out that piece of nail but that’s what RU-vid is for
@LoveABun
@LoveABun 5 лет назад
Victoria When you say more filing, do you mean that you are filing along the sides of the nail? I’m asking because like you, I have what I think are more impacted toenails. I’ve been cutting the corner at a slant, away from the side wall, then filing as much of the side of the nail as possible, trying to get it away from the side of the nail bed. That takes the pain away, but like you, once they grow long again, the pain sets in again and I keep having to repeat the process! I’m filing and cleaning the sides of the nail as much as I can, getting as deep into the nail grooves as I can, but I don’t seem to be fixing the problem! It’s like my big toenail has become too wide to fit into the nail bed!! So frustrating. I wish I could get advice from her on this. I’d go see her if I wasn’t several states away.
@VLS1998t

netcatzpj kind of, I meant more so filing after if trimmed my nails. I was constantly getting pointy parts that would grow out and poke me because I would trim and use the clippers to try and cut off and points left. Does not work
@VLS1998t
@VLS1998t 5 лет назад
netcatzpj Im no foot doctor but bad nails are genetic for me (thanks mom). It seems sometimes people just have bad nails so it is quite possible yours are. My mom had the surgery to permanently remove the sides of her toenails and the other day she booked an appointment to get the rest of the toe removed because it started curling under again. I honestly considered the surgery because maintaining my nails is annoying sometimes. If you’re doing all you can with no results, I’d consult a professional

I'm very prone to in-growns. With that being said, I've never found a salon that cleans out the side walls and under my toe nails correctly. But thanks to all 200+ videos of yours, I can do it myself! You are a freaking rockstar and I hope to visit Michigan one day 😍

I’ve been watching your videos for about a good year and a half now and I FINALLY made my first purchase at your store. Couldn’t be happier to have that side wall cleaner along with a few other things. I used to love doing my own pedi’s as a teen. But the mom life took over and my feet were being neglected. So happy to not only have found your channel. But to have learned so much more and giving me back the excitement to be taken care of my feet and nails again. Definitely have more things I need to purchase. But little by little I know my collection will grow. Thank you again for doing these videos and sharing all you know with us!!

My Son has had problems with ingrown toenails so that's why I started watching your videos. To find a way to help him...BUT, the reason I keep watching is because I have a very stressful job. Sometimes you could work on a project for 3 or more years and you still haven't achieved any success or positive end to the issue. 😬😳☹️ When I watch your videos I see a "problem" (an ingrown toenail) and then I get to see you solve that problem. It's like a release of pressure for me and it really helps! Thank you for all that you do! It is greatly appreciated! 😊😊😊💜💜💜

I have to say, I've probably watched 99% of your videos. I love them. They relax me before I fall asleep. I work with people with mental illness and off use you for reference when clients dont want to take care of their feet. I have a woman( I call her my little lady and she beams) that I took in for her first pedi a couple months ago. She was in tears, didnt want anyone to see how ugly her toes were (she is no longer able to take care of her own feet.) The young lady who did her feet and I were talking and she stated that she watched alot of your videos as she was going through her schooling. Needless to say I was excited. I absolutely love how you put so much of your heart into what you are doing and those you are trying to help. You dont appear to be one of those "sit down, hush, I'll do your feet the way I want. Now get outta my chair" kinda people. One of my goals is to come have you give me a pedi. 🤩

I found your channel during a "RU-vid deep dive" so I wasn't looking for any foot problem solutions. I started with neotrix and nail sunny, went to Suzie's nail career education, then you, then the toe bro. Your videos are informative, educational, and have such a chill relaxed vibe. I love to watch them before I fall asleep. I don't remember the first videos I watched but I remember seeing you pull impacted material from the sidewalls and thought maybe that's my problem (had trauma to a nail that caused it to fall out ten years ago and one corner keeps digging.) I couldn't believe how much material I scooped out of the sidewall the first time.

About a year and a half ago I started giving my Dad pedicures. He had thick nails, fungus and big toe nails that were growing to one side. I started doing pedicures for him then came across your site, and I was relieved that what I instinctively felt was the correct steps/procedures to do were on your videos in addition to other valuable information and techniques. My mother, at 85, had never had a pedicure despite me asking her to come along with me. After having done a couple for my Dad she asked if I could give her one and I replied YES! She had pincer nails, big toenails growing sideways, toes that folded over each other and nail fungus. After doing both of their pedicures for over a year now both have big toenails growing straight, no fungus, my mothers pincer nails are gone and she now has beautiful toenails. She actually let me polish them this last time. My dad had informed me that she would never get a pedicure because she was embarrassed of her toe nails and that made me so sad. Today they both enjoy getting pedicures and are amazed at how many problems have resolved and ey have less pain. I think I'll paint Mom's toenails pink after her next pedicure. Your specific videos that helped were 1. "Hidden toes " 2. "Phenomenol thick toenail transformation " and 3. "Step by step Ingrown Pincer nails." Really all of your videos have continued to educate and provide valuable information. I hope I'll be able to purchase your Pedicure Kit in the future and a few additional items, but for now there have been amazing transformations for them both and my Mother (now 86) especially looks forward to having her feet done as does my Dad who is 90. What a blessing! Keep the videos coming.

When I first started watching your videos (about a year ago) I was so so impressed, and I've improved a lot on my routine foot care and the important it is. Also I was always listening and getting concerned about your illness and things that may do you harm because I developed a fondness of you and your amazing job. I've watched all your videos, and my concern always was the hardness on my heels, now I know how to take care of that. I'm not a person who comments a lot but I always like and share with my friends (even if they think it is weird, I always tell them to learn to take proper care of their feet). Keep the awesome job.

The video that has helped me the most is learning that the dead skin around the cuticles needs to be removed for healthy nails. But I've learned so many things from your videos. I've even bought a few of the tools to help me at home. The biggest issue I have with my feet is the dry and hardness around my big toes and my second toe of one of my feet. Awesome job as always! I've learned so much from your channel and have been able to use some of what I've learned to help my fiancees feet. I'm going to eventually try the acrylic patch on his big toenail, but that nail constantly gets ingrown/impacted and is like a C nail. The base of his nail bed is normal and wide, but the outside edge of his nail gets folded down into his sidewall so that by the time you get to the tip his nail is maybe half as wide as the base. I'm hoping I can use the acrylic to pull that nail back up to where it's supposed to be and keep his sidewalls cleaned out while the nail groove is fixed. Nail techs in my area dont really pay much attention to that gunky buildup from the pressure. And it's a never ending vicious circle.

I love your videos and as I have a chronic illness that now prevents me from being able to take care of my own feet or have normal pedicures, I use the knowledge to teach my mother and main care giver how to care for my feet. I have so many things I have picked up from so many of your videos: tips for cutting nails, removing old skin and cuticle, the best tools to use and so much more. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!

Very possibly are first from their area... Big systems like RU-vid spread out copies of a video, for example, over many servers in many areas to be able to keep up. Comments, watch counts do not get synchronized quite instantly.

Amy C. She sells a callus remover that you might want to try. She usually uses it and shows applying it in her videos, but this one she did not. She applies with a brush after the client has soaked. Then wraps the foot with a towel, leaving the toes sticking out so she can work with them. Then she files off the dead skin removed by the callus product using a stainless steel file, which she also sells. Hope that helps!

It’s not about the product you use. Your footwear plays the biggest part. If you wear shoes with little to no sole support such as flip flops etc, your foot will form a callus to protect the skin from the constant impact against the floors. You need to wear shoes with a very good sole and potentially with inserts to provide even further cushion.
@littlemisseatscrispsforbre5353
@@emmaweaver8465 I didn't know that happens with flip flops, I wear them all time and get hard skin! Thanks for that, the more you know 😀

My biggest concern for my feet is that I won't be able to reach them without sending myself into a major fibromyalgia pain flare hours later. I definitely can't polish my toes on my own. Trimming and digging in can be a challenge. And with an allergy to aloe and having special needs with specific soaps, oils, and even cuticle remover, I don't feel safe at all going in to a salon, especially in the very small town I live in.
@tuss1252
@tuss1252 4 года назад
Ask your local salon(s) if you'd be permitted to bring your own jug of vinegar with you, to use in the foot bath and for all cleaning during the pedicure. Vinegar will clean and soften your feet's skin, nails and cuticles making fileing and removing easy. Vinegar will naturally exfoliate your skin and deep clean your nails. No need for soaps, oils, chemicals you fear might be irritating to you. Hopefully, a quality salon will understand your needs and use your vinegar for soaking, softening and cleaning your feet and nails. Worth a try! Best wishes!

I have to say that your videos are sooo satisfying. I typically watch them in bed before sleeping and might I say it is calming. But besides that I love how thorough you are and how you explain in detail. Your videos have helped me understand why and how my family have had their nails grow or turn the way they have. Thank you for all that you do. Great work!!!

As I age, my biggest concern is my toe nails seem to be rounding down into my toe and thickening. They are also so hard I can hardly clip them without them breaking and splitting even when I soak them! What to do, what to do...? TY

So he learns how to cut them correctly. Also this is a new addiction of mine. I am amazed at what you pull out from the side wall from dog hairs to sock debris it’s amazing and I’ve watched so many now

One of my concerns is toe nail fungus I know you always talk about a product but what else can we use to help with that product other than the nail mycosis? Also how to lessen thick calluses around the heels.
@LoveABun
@LoveABun 5 лет назад
Maria Martinez I’ve been religiously using her Nail Mycosis for about 4 months, starting out at 3 times daily, and it has gotten rid of my fungus in 3 toes! I’m stunned and elated! The secret to that product is that it softens the nail over time, which allows you to more easily file and cut away the top layers of the nail so that the product can reach the fungus. I keep cutting away as much of the nails as possible, then keep filing and cutting away the top layers of the nails. This allows the product and air to get to the fungus, thereby killing it. But you need to pay a lot of attention to the SIDES of the nails as that is often where the fungus originates. If you don’t cut and file away (as safely as possible) the side area where the fungus is, you won’t get rid of all of it. What you can’t cut away from the side of the nail, be sure to keep filing the top layers of it down, then apply the product. Now that my fungus appears gone, I have reduced product application to twice daily. I would buy a set of her nail files as they work really well. I also use a sanding attachment on my battery-operated Dremel device to file.

I’d like to see you go more in depth with how to make a new nail groove- (or, extending your nail groove) For example, this ladies toenail groove goes all the way to the top of her toe. Mine just stops way before that. When my toenail grows out on the sides, it’s still “inside” my toe. It gets so painful So I have no choice but to cut it at an angle like you aren’t supposed to.

My main problem with my toenails are that they have deep side walls and some of them, especially my big toes, try to grow upwards. Is there a way for me to try and correct the upward growing direction? None of my shoes are too small or tight either. Thanks for all the helpful information you provide!
