Thanks to everyone who suggested I leave the portafilter in the group head at all times so that it heats up with the machine and stays up to temp! Appreciate the advice! *Also, before the coffee enthusiasts come after me for steaming milk after pulling my shot -- I always steam during, but in this case I can't shoot two things at once so relax 😅

@@salmandekkari5523 you can't make hand made espresso without a machine unless you can manager 130+ psi with your bare hands, which is humanly impossible. So objectively and scientifically you cannot.

Yeah my routine is just as pretty, clean, stylish & lofi too! In no way do I pour pre-ground, unmeasured coffee into an aeropress, brew to death then overextract in a dark basement room, drinking it while cursing the world....

Please enlighten me. This whole process seems very classy and elegant. But. I can do it with a Nespresso Barista Pro in just 1 minute. And, the coffee tastes as good as hell. So honestly, as a regular customer, if I ask you to tell two cups of Latte apart, one from La Marzocco and one from Espresso, are you sure you can do that in an instant?

After seeing your videos i have decided to buy the Linea mini soo but the Niche Zero will take sometimes for the next batch. Do you use special water for the Linea? And do you recommend the Niche? Beautiful set up you have, we are in Seattle and actually living 5 mins from the head quarter of La Marzocco Cafe another reason why I want to get one LOL I would really appreciate any feed back you have since you have both machines that I want thank you so much 😊 also heading to NYC this weekend and wanting to see if you have any good recommendations for cafes.

question: what does the weighing of the coffee do?

It helps keeps thing consistent. If anything goes wrong when pulling the shot, I would know where and what to change!

Measuring by weight will always be more consistent than measuring by volume. It's the same reason why people recommend using scales when baking since the measurements have to be exact.
