It is really cute. Natural is good but can really be hard to deal with. I commend you on 5 years of natural. I maybe at 3 yrs now.. and starting to think about relaxing. Oh, spraying with oil sheen if relaxer starts to burn will soothe the scalp.. I remembered that!! Enjoy it’s beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

I know exactly what you're talking about with those old school ways. I think the only reason I wasn't bald back then was because I wore short styles and it was always getting cut, lol. I did the natural thing for 6yrs but I've been back to relalaxers for a good while now. I stretch for 4 months. Check out hairlicious for good relaxed hair content. Your hair turned out beautiful. 💜

On your next relaxer you should only relax the new growth and not the rest that’s already relax and it will stay amazing.

You should cut your ends, too. Remember 5 years no relaxed hair to get it to grow and get thicker. Use argan, coconut, and castor oils for your edges to grow back. Peppermint oil promotes hair growth, too.

I’m cool with changes sis as long as you don’t lower yourself down to City Girls. Also you do not need to explain nothing to no one! Your hair your business However rather a black woman created it or not is not as important as the long term health concerns of putting such chemicals that permanently altar the natural state your hair is meant to be. We as black woman do not have knowledge of the studies of the chemicals that relaxers as they go into our bloodstream. You mentioned maybe one day having a daughter, fibroids are linked to relaxers. Black women have the highest diagnosis for fibroids.
