Thanks. You guys are great. I have to confess I am not a fan of "I'm yours" or "Rude." No fault of yours. It's just because they wore me out from being over played. But your cover version makes it sound a lot better. I listen to you on pandora and have enjoyed all of your music. I look forward to seeing what else you got and hearing you a lot more in the future.
I am a North Texas native, yet feel my soul originated from the Caribbean. your music takes me there as often as I'd like. thank you for putting this out there.
I enjoy this music so much. I feel like I am on vacation. I listen from California. I like the songs you play I can sing along. It's amazing how that beautiful sound comes out of steel 🏖️🏖️⛱️⛱️🌴🌴🌤️🌤️
These people are very talented musicians. I love the sound of steel drums in general. But to do a Bob Marley song (instrumental) is absolutely brilliant. You guys are great. I had never heard of this band before until now. I was watching this RU-vid video from England, United Kingdom. ♡♡
Thank you so much, Gavin!! We really appreciate the kind words and support from the UK!!!! Hope you'll subscribe. We plan to come out with lots of new stuff this summer! :)
@@SteelRhythmSteelDrumBand I always enjoyed the live bands in South Florida where I grew up but there are none here on the coast of North Carolina as afaik. You all make me miss the tropics so much :-)
I didn’t have the bell turned on, so I missed enjoying your Fantastic, relaxing music all morning. But I have it turned on now so you are not going to sneak another one by me. Thanks for sharing.
Well I had other plans this morning but kind of got stalled when I discovered this. As a fellow Canadian posted, just the thing for a cold Covid infested day. Really love the music and the video of sun, sea and sand does help too. The four of you are truly awesome together. Thanks so much for sharing. God bless and stay safe.
Fantastic to watch snow outside my window and listen to this - awesome rendering and smiles all around!! You guys are just fantastic! Do you have any plans to perform in beautiful Salt Lake City?
Years ago I heard a School Steel Band in Great Britain play the theme Tune from " Howaii Five - O", I wonder if you play this Great tune, sorry I do not know the name of it. Love you Music. Leonard Ochiltree, UK.
Thank you so much from cold, dark, dreary and Covid infested Canada. I first heard the drums live at a wedding in Georgetown Guyana a couple of years ago. . I was intrigued and during a break the lead spent time showing a crazy Canadian how they worked. Thank you for a few minutes of nostalgia.
Barry G thanks for listening, Barry!! Glad you got to see how the drum worked. It’s really fascinating!! We love playing weddings and events and can’t wait for COVID to pass to get back at it! Interaction with guests like you is what makes it! Thanks for listening and stay healthy! 😊
2 birds with 1 stone. Gotta love some vitamin D. Honestly, we don't typically play in the sun- it's very bad for the drums, but for the videos we do it quickly ;)
Hi Peter! It's hard to find these instruments these days. They are very expensive and take a long time to make. I would suggest looking on craigslist and facebook marketplace for a used one. The single drum is called a "lead pan" or "tenor pan" and other is "double seconds." Good luck!! Keep us posted!
direct sunlight puts them out of tune very quickly. We always play in the shade, but for these videos we shoot quickly and give the pans a break in the shade between songs :) We've played outside in the winter and the pans are fine... just our fingers are very cold!!! ha! Thanks for watching!
@@SteelRhythmSteelDrumBand thank you. I know about cold. I was in the University of Houston band for the 1979 Cotton "Ice' Bowl. Fingers frozen to keys. brass mouthpieces frozen to lips. The show must go on. Thank you for you music.
@@chrismims1031 Yes! At least we don't have to worry about our faces freezing to our instruments! ha! Thanks so much for listening, and please share with friends if you think they'd enjoy it! :)
