I miss seeing this type of tiny house. I follow a couple of other tiny house channels, but lately I've been seeing "tiny" houses that are a bit too fancy. They are very nice, but I miss this type of minimal, functional and custom made tiny house. Great video ❤️

Ya it would be nice to have a house like that better then the gooseneck travel trailer that i live in has about.A dozen holes where bugs can come in every & leaks in a few places but its not to bad but be nice not having mosquitos bitting you every night 😆

But my parents spent their own money on it for me when they didn't have to im 31 now so i don't want to rely on them.What i need to do is find a tiny house work shop that i can apprenticeship to near me so if i can learn i could build something for me & my parents.It would be nice to give something back to them after everything they've done for me things are really stressful here it would definitely take some stress away.Sorry if i said to much had to say what was weighing on my mind sorry im weird lol.

@@defective2207 Can you put some mesh over the holes to stop the insects getting in? Hardware stores sell insect mesh, and you'd need only a small amount to just glue in place 😊

Finally a tiny house that uses a yo/futon and fold-away tables! It has always been frustrating to see a tiny space cluttered by a massive mattress that is only used at night. It makes much more sense, especially for a tiny house that isn't stationary, to have bedding that you can fold away, is much lighter, and is good for your back. While I can see room for improvement in the way things were set up, I very much applaud their way of thinking.

More room the dude is sitting in the hallway when they're around the table. More floor storage and less toys cabinet could help.

This is the most beautiful tiny house I've seen in a long time! The couple is very relatable and I like that they keep everything super simple and also affordable. Currently, there are a lot of tiny houses and also van builds trending which are super over the top with lots of technology and super expensive. In my eyes this kind of takes away the initial idea of a tiny house - being affordable and easy. I love the focus on natural material and sustainability. If I ever come across building my own tiny home this will definitely be used for inspo. Also, the storage underneath the floor is a great idea! What a cute little guy! Not interested in a tiny house but I do want to do a shuttle bus conversion and some of these ideas can be used. Especially the insulation and the composting toilet. Keeping this video for a reference. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful tiny home and a great tour. It's easy in CA to take advantage of the ability to be outdoors all of the time, drying your clothes, cooking, etc. (hardly any rain, hardly any very cold or very hot weather) and i'm glad they're taking advantage of that and giving their home more space by not using it up with a bigger kitchen. I also love their simple fold out floor table from her family, rather than the little plywood murphy tables i see in sooo many tiny homes. Their table makes it feel more like a cozy regular/common-sized house, and not like an RV or bus home. Those murphy tables always feel temporary and impermanent to me, i.e. not like a real home their table and bed on the main floor and not in a loft, make the home feel more cozy and permanent to me. The contest looks awesome, and also, your hair is super on-point in this video - just wanted to point that out! Lol

Your home is beautiful. I don’t think I could live this way due to pain issues. I can’t crawl on my knees to dig things out of storage. I would rather go up with storage.

I'm sure you know how lucky you are. And I mean one person in particular, but that's because I'm a guy. Actually you both are equally lucky, and I was being facetious. What a great arrangement, and you and Kathy are so smart in how you figured out this space. I've surrendered (I guess that is the right word) twice due to divorce two homes. But my kids, in to separate marriages, grew up there. Right now I'd be so happy to be in a place like this. I need to figure it out and soon. I keep watching these Tiny House videos and I'm becoming steadily entranced. It's all I really will ever need. I hope I can do it, and soon.

Namu house~^^ Namu in Korea means tree. so it's tree house he said. It is my dream to build my house some day. As watching this video makes my heart beats💓 so beautiful and looks peacful people they are. This looks good when it is new, but the ends of each pieces of wood starts to crack and splits. High maintenance is the down side. Simple and many good ideas are in this build. LOL

Thank you for another amazing video into the lives of the unique. Hopefully, one day it will be a lot more common. I do know Ben Carson, our Secretary of Housing and Development, is keenly interested in helping our homeless population with tiny living and tiny living communities where they can get help easier by being there. I’ve heard him interviewed on this when there was a tiny home expo in Washington DC and close to Congress. It is his mission “to increase homeownership, support community development and increase access to affordable housing free from discrimination. Tiny homes is right up that alley. Wishing you all an amazing, and beautiful day and as my best friend used to say, every day is a beautiful day. It’s taken me many years to figure that one out and how simple it really is. Beautiful home. I love tiny homes, but I cannot figure out how so many couples live with so little privacy when it comes to having children. Shared sleeping, open lofts. I don't get it.

I get where you're coming from since that's part of our current society's conditioning. However if we look at our evolutionary history, for the vast majority of our human journey we've lived in *very* close quarters with others/family with almost zero privacy and no qualms about it. Many people to this day still live like that, with everyone sometimes even sleeping in the same bed. I find it interesting to see it sort of coming back as part of the tiny house/intentional community movement.

Hi there, I love the idea of the cladding having air gaps from a passive cooling perspective but what does that mean for forest fires.... wouldnt that let the fire get behind tge cladding and burn the sensitive building inside designing?I'm designing my home in Australia so both a key technical factor!

If you look online, you can find the real thing which you can get shipped to anywhere in the world from Japan. Can't remember the name of the company, sorry but they look far superior to western-style futons I've seen.

I find the "sustainability " way of life , tiny house inhabitants proclaim, a total fraud. You will always have a smaller footprint living i a big building, with central heating and central hot water. And the selfishness side of this lifestyle, is completely underrated , when not completely forgotten. I love tiny houses, but , please be frank...
