Thank you for the honesty of this injury setback. I constantly am making the needed adjustments when I have setbacks due to being dependent on caudal injections due to spinal stenosis and other spinal issues. This program has given so much help and encouragement to get my life back to a point that I can function better in everyday life. Age 62 and enjoying retirement 😁

I just came across your work. I’m interested for sure! I’m a nutritionist that was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. I am a student of this information. I’ve read back mechanic by Stuart McGill and read his papers and listened to him speak many times. I’ve adopted his method for treating myself. I think that you are spot on. I am now 42 and my symptoms began when I was a teenager. I am an x athlete (quarterback, cornerback, point guard and pitcher), in the past I’ve done squats, deadlifts, riding bike in hard gear and have taken a lot of hits in football. I know that my hip flexors are taut. I am a little more kyphotic than normal. Anyways I’m paying attention to you. I hold a desk job, I’m a qualified nutritionist. I’ve felt relief in these positions you’ve mentioned. I need more direction. I have to admit I believe that I am in protective mode, my midsection is soft, I’m working on it.

I am also suffering from the same issue. Thanks for creating this videos. I had similar instances where I was told by the doctor that I'll need surgery in near future. Can you also make a video on which type of activities should be avoided if someone suffering from spondylolisthesis. I am usually told that I should avoid gym, dance, sports activities and adventurous sports.

Good luck on the recovery and thanks for your videos. I followed your program fully and although I’m still not back 100% I’m doing much much better. Most importantly I feel that I have all the tools to get better. Slow grind but it pays off. Also really appreciate your honesty. Everyone with back issues have set backs and those conversations are not only very helpful but also give a lot of hope and sometimes that’s all we need. Pierre ✌🏻

How did u find out u have bulging discs? They won’t give me an mri but I have stenosis 9mm so my chiro doesn’t think it’s herniated discs and just my spondy. Never bothered me until I got an SI joint issue.

I feel like i can make great progress but my job requires me to sit...such a set back. Getting up and moving is happening more often but sometimes I'm required to sit and get things done and that's where I feel such back steps in my healing journey
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance 7 месяцев назад
Hi Karina, thank you so much for sharing! That's great that you are implementing more movement; that's already a big step forward. If you're required to sit for extended periods of time, I think that this video that Dr. Ryan put together on sitting would be very helpful for you. You can watch it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z6P_W0r0U8w.html. Keep up the great work! 😊

Update: I was born with this issue and currently have a 12mm slippage by making it worse as I was a LA Firefighter. One of the best things helping me is strengthening my abs especially from a pull up bar. You can simply hang and then raise your knees up and resist coming down. I do this daily. You can use wrist straps to help with hanging or arm supports made for this exercise to hang from a pull-up bar called “AB Straps for pull-up bar”. This motion also helps with the “pelvic forward”. I also use Pelvic Forward as much as possible with everything. Once you strengthen your abdominal muscles by doing this work out, you can be very creative with several motions while hanging from the pull-up bar! I do this in the morning and in the evening. Sets of at least 2-3 each time. Good luck!

Hi, I suffer from this condition too, and I wanted to know how much strengthening your abs actually helps to manage the symptoms? Are you able to run and lift bags shopping bags without pain for example?
@1lifelive570
@1lifelive570 6 месяцев назад
Hello. The rule of most trainers is the strongest Abs and Core will give you the strongest back. Pelvic tilt forward is also a must to learn. Some stretches can dramatically help you while other stretches can dramatically hurt you. Research and do the correct stretching with pelvic tilt forward to see what works best for you and do this at least once in the morning and once in the evening before, going to bed. If you are new with stretches, then try one stretch at a time and try it for two days to make sure it works for you and then add another stretch and stretch for 10 seconds each time and don’t over stretch as that can hurt you too. Basically, do not do stretches that hurt your back and only stretches that help your back. I do Various stretching to help my upper back, middle back, lower back l, legs, and hips. I exercise my core, I do push-ups, back pulls, pelvic forward ab crunches, and pull-up bar ab workout. I have been doing this for years. Yes I am now able to do everything you asked. My spine is a 12mm slip and deemed fairly stable due to my strong core. My back still hurts daily but only around level 1-2 pain out of 10. I hope this helps. You need to make this your number 1 priority in Life in order to succeed. I also listen to Tony Robbins to help me to succeed. Good luck my friend. 🌞🙏

Hi, at last you talk the reality of having sciatica. I am Lezel, 54 years old, recently in the stage of menopausal,suffering sciatica/ spondylolisthesis pain since mid- 2021...I now also realize to inform more personally through researches before having the surgery. Neuroorthopedic surgeon, advising me to have surgery that kind of lumbar stift. When I went to a radiologist, to get my pain therapy, he told me that my disc displacement is at minimum percentage, which is not advisable having a surgery. Maybe can you share me some idea what to do, or any exercises which can be helpful for me...Thank you very much!

Everything I watched in this video is true. I felt you truly suffered from this pain. I am 36 years old and I have never got an issue on my back. But thankfully I was over the worst and it took almost 5 months to be at 90 % . What I liked most about your tips was the last one: be thankful because I guess I am keeping struggling with that thought beacuse I know I am ready enoguh to do whatever I want but my back's movements start to act up because I kind of think I am going to injure myself again. So I work myself into a state which I suppose is a matter of time. I really appreciate your piece of advice as I reckon the problem comes down to the feeling of fear. So thanks a bunch.

How does all these apply to severe lumbar foraminal stenosis? I only have mild canal stenosis and it seems like a lot of the info / programs / etc… seem to only address spinal canal stenosis. Does your program benefit those with lumbar foraminal stenosis?

how do you know that actual vertebre is 'unstable'?? did you have a specific movement scan which picked the instability up?? thankyou
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance 7 месяцев назад
Hi Harry, that's a great question! Determining if there is an instability present may be done through radiographic imaging, such as X-rays, MRI, or CT scans. Symptoms that you are experiencing can also provide important clues regarding vertebral instability. Common symptoms associated with spinal instability include: - Back pain exacerbated by movement or certain positions, especially with activities that load the spine. - Neurological symptoms, such as radiating pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness in the limbs, may indicate nerve compression or irritation due to vertebral instability. - Functional limitations, such as difficulty walking, standing, or performing daily activities, can result from instability-related symptoms. Hope this helps! 😊

Is this event/setback what caused you to go get updated imaging and find that you had retrolisthesis after working to correct your spondy? How long did it take for you to work through your setback?
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance 7 месяцев назад
Hi Anuj, thank you for your comment! Dr. Ran got imaging done before his stem cell treatment journey, as he wouldn't have done it otherwise. He was curious to see what his spine looked like and is happy with the results! You can listen to more about this here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aI_4p8V_9T8.html. It took him a couple of weeks to overcome his setback, and he has since returned to his normal life! 😊

Hi, walking is good or not in grade1 spondylolisthesis?
@CoreBalance
@CoreBalance 6 месяцев назад
Hi Jatinder, thank you for your question! Walking is a great option for grade 1 spondylolisthesis, and Dr. Ryan highly recommends it as it encourages whole-body muscular balance. Dr. Ryan has put together a video on how to walk with spondylolisthesis, and I'd love to share it with you. You can watch it here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FJhc4dsbO4o.html. Dear friend, Hope you will get soon well. Pray for speedy recovery. Can you please share whether osteoarthritis in your knee leads to a few back problems? I would like to know whether you bend forward more or your postures of sitting or injury have caused to spondi issues. I have been suffering from severe back pain, especially near thoracic spine areas. I will take an MRI in a few days' time. Can you please give your thoughts to my doubts?

@@SRIRAMGURUMURTHY.. Bhai I am a sister.. Yes I got issues because of no exercise.. I did get knee arthritis initially and then disc issues..and then my spondylosis slowly progressed to lesthesis.. Wish I had done research earlier because the doctors don't actually guide us nowadays.. They tell us to exercise giving vague instructions and later recommend surgery.. Best is go ahead and do an mri but never opt for surgery.. Our body heals itself but we need to give it sources like we should exercise regularly every single day better by engaging a physiotherapist for advice initially and also take right supplements which lessen inflammation specifically above 40s like Magnesium with calcium, vitamin D, boron, Glucosamine and chonditrium, omega 3 s and get rid of all processed food and refined oils flours and eat millets etc.. Hope it helps

@shahnazshaikh6833 Thank you so much, sister. I did the same mistake like I did not do exercises the month that I sat prolonged for attending a professional training for about 4 hous a day without moving and taking water. Afterward I went to sleep for an hour. I had been in this process for about 45 days and all of a sudden for the past one month my middle of the back especially at the fag end of thoracic pain have excruciating pain like shooting pain and the sever compressed feeling at the very lower back of the spine when I sit on the cot or floor without a back support I have been diagnosed with Chondromalacia Patella GRADE IV damage and with that without knowing the future damage on the spine I did forward bending a lot than knee bending as I have bone on bone pain at times and to avoid that pain as well. Edit: I too had initially inflammation at the beginning for about 15 days, but now the inflammation comes in whenever I sit on the cot / floor without any backsupport. I agree with you that I should try to reduce the inflammation first fully and then have to perform physical therapy exercises after I take an mri and consultation with doctors. I am also above 40 and I could understand how difficult and important it is to maintain our body. Thank you for your suggestions.
