I'm not Puerto Rican, but married one. I have been learning to cook many PR dishes from Ida on her Sweets and beyond channel for over 9 yrs now. This is my husband's favorite! He would eat them everyday if he could. My Piccadillo recipe also came from Ida. Thanks Ida from the bottom of my heart for also making the videos, and also for making them in English as well. I have one very happy husband!! 😂❤

Hey old friend ❤❤❤Making stuffed potato balls for my friends anytime I need just a refreshment. I always come to your page. You are amazing. You show me how to make Puerto Rican rice and beans. I’m from Connecticut. I miss you so much. Please start doing more videos I need you we need you.❤
that definitely looks like Johnny Pachecho lol and that you so much for all of these videos! I'm puerto rican, but my mother doesn't really cook the traditional foods, which I've been dying to learn. Your videos are helping me so much and I love how simple some of these recipes can be. :) I cannot wait to see what else I can learn.
Delicious, I make these myself.......but there is another alternative for people who are worried about fried food...you can place the balls in a cupcake holder pan and bake them at around 350 to 375 for an hour or until browned.......that way they keep their shape, but don't forget to grease the pan of course before placing the potato balls in them...:)
Mako 44 Great idea Do.you.spray cooking spray in the cups first? Do they brown completely all over ? Im not fond of fried food BUT love these NOT having to fry them WOULD Be GREAT!
Omg! Just made these today with your Picadillo as well! You are my life saver in learning how to cook PR food myself without begging my mom and grandma to make me some! Thank you, my husband loved it! ♥️♥️♥️
I just have to say, Thank You for this amazing recipe!! I had these at a good friend's house at a party and could not get her grandma to give up the recipe. Thank You so much for posting this video. I was wondering why my Rellenos De Papa kept falling apart when I fried them. They were too soggy and I completely covered them in oil in the deep fryer. After watching your video I Finally made a perfect batch. Thank You!!! :)
Thanks for this recipe. Lately, I've been having problems finding the right potatoes for my rellenos. I've tried the Russet and Eastern potatoes but the result was the same....a mess!!!! With your idea of microweaving the potatoes, your recipe is THE BEST ONE!!!!

you have no idea how happy I am to see this. I grew up on Puerto Rican food and I miss it so much. My mama used to tell me to quit going to the kids house. Abuela didn't mind she fed all the kids in the neighborhood lol. I have been wanting these for years. I need to find how to make Ensalada de Pulpo and boquitas. I don't know if that is the real name but they were these fried crab claws OMG delicious. Do you have recipes up for them? I have been enjoying your channel. ♥

Sweets and Beyond question-- could you use leftover mashed potatoes to make these? The mashed potatoes were made with milk and butter. I am wondering if this would work if I added the corn starch or if it would fall apart.

@Sweet and Beyond
