I love hearing the background Anti Aircraft and small arms..many many years ago in the 1940’s....a quiet little German town..light fog, light rain drizzle...all hell breaks loose. RIP German and American soldiers
Touch confused. I thought the 42 fired from an open bolt? Doesnt the bolt need to be back before you put rounds in it? Cos CoD also shows the bolt being pulled back last which I always thought you couldnt do. So can you load a 42 like this?
You can reload it quicker with the proper equipment, in the war they rarely opened the top of the MG, they would use a metal tab on the end of the belt feed it through then rack the cycle.
And he did it the wrong way to speed up things (belt dragged on the ground? Do you want to feed the MG with dirt and debris?). In reality, to change the 50 rounds "drum" magazine (actually a can that contained a 50 rounds belt) took even more.
