Fantastic - thanks so much for this. Constantly reverting to saved preset after the slightest tweak has been irritating the life out of me on my g9ii. All cameras should have this option - i.e.to go back to where you were after changing mode / preset / tuning off & on. Thanks again

Good afternoon, Steven. First of all, thank you very much for all the content on your channel. I have a question that I'm not sure if you can help me with: On the GH6, is it possible to set the WB in one mode and have it remain when you switch to another mode? For example, I'm using a specific WB while recording a video in C1 mode, then I switch to C2 mode, and the same WB from C1 is maintained. Is there any way to achieve this? Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, thank you, it's great to hear that you are finding the content useful 👍 I tend to just re-save my custom profiles if I want changes like that to carry over. Thank you very much, Steven. Great, after watching the video from the link you shared, I now know how to maintain the WB when switching from video to photos. I can't keep the WB if I switch between custom modes, but at least I can between video and photos. Thanks again!!!

@@xavijim No problem. It may just be a case of resaving those additional profiles with your new white balance. You can utilise the custom movie mode option as well as that retains the settings.

I don't use this option. If you change any setting by mistake, the camera will automatically save that mistake. During shooting, there is no time to check whether everything is set up correctly.

Yeah it can work both ways, it's just a workflow thing. Some people prefer it one way and some prefer the other. It's useful that you can switch it though in certain situations.

Sometimes one option is preferable to the other, but better to have the option than not.
