Reloading in real life can fail unlike games. M13(MCX) • Evidence that this is ... MP5 • Reloading MP5 is very ... The gun used in the video is an airsoft gun.

@@aeon_sol They're the Raid Shadow Legends of YT channels. You see them everywhere, but you'd rather not. Lol Edit: Wait. That's an insult to Raid. They at least made something decent.
Reminds me of the ones you’d get in FO3 when your firearm is at low durability, gets all finnicky. Always liked that detail which bothered me they removed it with FO4.
When I found out about gun jamming in DayZ I said to my Dad "Imagine dying in a pvp because your gun jams" and then my dad replied with "imagine if you died in a war because your gun jammed" And I was like damn, I felt stupid.
This just makes me appreciate how fucking incredible the animations and visuals are in modern shooters to the point where we’re now able to reliably confuse real life and fiction.
“Modern Shooters” You mean only MW? Not to sound like a fanboy here (although I know I will) but neither CW or Vanguard look remotely as good, BF2042’s animations aren’t as good and I can’t really think of any recent shooters that look nice aside from those.
Most games these days model gun imperfections, even as far back as Black Ops 1. The only thing I rarely see is stuff like sand and dirt ingress or corners of sight posts being worn.
@@onatkorucu842 Looking at the sky reduces the number of assets to be drawn on the screen, effectively reducing the load on the CPU/GPU and increasing the FPS. This effect is most noticeable on lower end systems.
Especially since the second one where the bolt get's stuck when an attempting an HK slap and he shakes his hand in pain after finally dislodging it looks like a real gun jam animation a game might use
My brain is going between "this is an animation" and "this is real life" which is saying a lot for both today's graphics technologies and this guy's amazing camera angle
I seriously seriously thought this was a game. The "animations" the guy is doing are so incredibly game like, the fact he's pointing at the sky makes it feel even more like a showcase, and to me it genuinely looks like game graphics, how far we've come!
they did say and show that every single thing in MW was from pictures/videos and then reconstructed into the game, so i wouldnt be suprised if they did the reloads themselves with the real guns lol
There are renders that look like that. But some games just try so hard to look "realistic" and detailed that it just looks unnatural and almost like it's too realistic in a way.
@@danieljuarez1197 i dont see anything wrong there... just read it carefully and you get it. Or would you rather have it in swiss? If so here and try to read it. Imagine waking up just minding your business and stuff and you look out the window to see your neighbor with a gun looking directly up with a go pro cam on his head
@@MalaysianChopsticks yep. Once had all my 3 weapons broken in row XD. game says that even new weapons can jam, but with least chance, never noticed that. even if infamous difficulty is fancy and casual, its kinda hard to play with machete haha
this is an concept ive been thinking abt for a while when realistic shooters started to pick up popularity instead of only having weapon malfunctions i have never seen an game that makes human error a part of the gameplay aswell
one occasion though, in tarkov fast reload (double pressiong the R key, which is common in stress) can cause you to drop mag on reload. Clever put controls i would say, since it really adds stress as variable in losing spare mags for the future and after big shoot out you should look for them. Not exactly error, but feels like one and i think they intentionally put it that way
The fact anyone has trouble discerning this from game and real life video footage is insane, respect to both how far gaming technology has come and how great you are at imitating games that imitate real life
@@Commissn fr fr. But like when it’s recorded at that perfect angle that looks just like it would in game, then goes through RU-vid making the graphics worse it's really hard to tell whether it's real-life or an incredible render. Especially the angle it's taking place, pointed at a sky with no visible terrain gives the impression that it's rendered, not to mention the incredible body gestures that look as dramatized as they would in game.
I showed this to my brother, telling him that this was a new PS5 FPS game. He said that the graphic was too similar to Warzone to be a PS5 game, not even for a moment he thought that this was not a game.
You imagine the neighbor, seeing our hero recording his videos with a facecam above his head or infront of his face, and he's just pointing a gun to the sky and performing perfectly disciplined reloads like that. That neighbor would be either staring for hours completely curious, or weirded out.
@@garrithdaly4541 well the first two we can clearly see a feed lip for bbs, the third he does a lil ADS action so we can't see a feed lip but the logo on the side of the lower looks a lot like an Elite Force logo which is a popular airsoft company. With markings that make it look like a field rental gun. Would be odd to have 2 airsoft guns and then finishing with a real one. I do agree you shouldn't be waving firearms around in public airsoft or real, some airsoft guns with the orange tips removed look extremely real, and some real Glocks with fancy modifications look like toys. Always look at anything that may be a gun as dangerous. But hey at least they're fake because the neighbors will be less concerned and he can produce more funny content.
@@Eazy_Company i can confirm that they are indeed fake. On the first gun, i played on 0.25x speed, it shows that the gun was made by an airsoft company called "Virtus"
If i made an FPS i would add this feature but make it alot less punishing and luck based so when you're running some reloads have a higher chance of messing up but when walking it's very low and when still its really really rare, also yes the reload fails would be a faster realization unlike in the video where he seems annoyed and confused, so just a quick fix.
I always thank the magic of video games to allow me to reload even when I’ve only shot 4 out of a 31 bullet magazine and I get to keep my 27 spare bullets magically for later.
You have a little bullet goblin in your vest that loads your spare mags for you and converts any ammo you pick up from enemies into your caliber in exact copies of your mags.
Sorry for ruining it, but I think the mags u refer to are 30 rounders, you get 31 when you load a new full mag without shooting all the rounds from the previous one, thus leaving one cartridge in the chamber
or it could just be that u have a set amount of mags and when u reload u swap for a full mag but later on u will get that mag with only 27 bullets in it 😮
Uhm ... When you have to ask a teammate on how to reload it xD Vr shooters are the best xD Or when you steal your enemies mag, who is faster, you stealing his mag again or he reloading xD
I wish more RPG-esqe games portrayed level or skill increases through heavy use of animation. In a first-person perspective especially, how the character interacts with weapons and objects through things like idle animations is a subtle but strong way of establishing character. Why not start the game out all stumbly-bumbly, but depict the gradual increase in proficiency through more fluid and quick animations? Sure, it would need a large part of the resources going into the total project but the impression that would be left on the player would be well worth both that and the initial frustration of the slower reload or misfire animations and the like. It adds versimilitude. You see your character progress as you progress as a player. Just think of all the different ways to load an AK - from the most basic-bitch up to the likes of the Iraqi Reload or that Russian thing where they keep the muzzle forward and reach under with their left hand to manipulate the bolt-lever.
Like a first person shooter version of how melee combat animations progress in Kenshi as your characters get higher skill levels, janky ass game but very satisfying mechanic
Funnily enough the great ace attorney has exactly that. The main character starts super nervous with his animations and they gradually become more and more professional with time.
While not exactly being what you talk about, SPEC OPS: The Line does have a thing where the character's animation and behaviour changes the deeper into the story you get.
The only thing I'm thinking while I'm seeing this is that while looking into the sky is the only time when you can enjoy a smooth gameplay with +200 fps
Would you really tho? Do you not remember it taking five minutes to kill something at the beginning of morrowind because all your attacks were missing?
Then you'd probably complain because it can't have that mechanic, "that was so unlucky this game is so shit holy fuckkk" "no skill all grind" "I like playing games that take skill not grindy games" "I would've killed that guy if this game wasn't so stupid why did they even add this mechanic"
@@nootnootmofos7415 well the way I imagine it working is having a hundred percent chance to fail, resulting in long reloads as a general, until you level up and get the "faster reload" perks But instead of moving faster than the flash you just move at normal speed
If I was a skilled modder, I'd make one for a game like Halo or COD where there's a 1/(X) chance you're reload wouldn't be perfectly seamless. The chances increasing as you use the weapon more and more, or if you picked it up randomly (I.E. it wasn't you're starting weapon), or if there was a particularly intense firefight.
That’s what I’m saying like it doesn’t have to be like a regular thing, kinda like battlefield has an animation with the m1 grand where you get grand thumb. Would be pretty cool might be annoying but oh well lol
@@l1ghtd3m0n3 true, but they could easily counter that by simply canceling out the animation as soon as you press the trigger to shoot or ads. The animation would only happen after the clip is loaded and if you run into someone while it’s happening the animation will cancel out. Plus the animation would only happen once in a blue moon. Would make the gun play more fun tbh
