I'm not so satisfied with the mating theory either. If you look at the last several seconds of this video, you can see one of the scorpions sting another in the mating group. The affected scorpion fully recovered within less than 10 minutes. Mating or not, these scorpions seem like they would have quite a difficult time accidentally killing one another.

Janalychas Tricarinatus 13.) Isometrus Maculatus X 14.) Centruroides Margaritatus 15.) Centruroides Gracilis 16.) Tityus Stigmurus 17.) Heterometrus Longimanus My Jayakari And Quinquestriatus popped some babies this month i feel great because i kept them since 2instars ☺️

What is your reasoning for this?

The heavier granulation on some of the carapace, tergites and metasoma segments.

@@darrendrake3737 Quite a subtle characteristic. Granulation is more variable than proportions and, in this case, these Centruroides do not have the shorter fingers of C. edwardsii.

I’m at work and will reply later more in detail but theirs one in particular that stood out to me. I’ve kept/breed C. Bicolor, yellow C. Margaritatus and C. Edwardsii in captivity and C. Edwardsii stands out from the rest.
