Michael Stipe became one of the best "frontmen" in rock, he just owns the stage from the beginning on "Living Well..." When I first followed them in the mid/early eighties, he was so damn shy up on stage. He would wear a trench coat, so much clothing, and al that curly hair and those blue eyes. He was so shy. He's tiny in real life - I met him once at a Golden Palomino's show, and I was too scare to even say anything ( I was 16 or 17). I saw the Reckoning tour, the fables Tour, and then on Lifes Rich Pageant, he developed more of a rock and roll stage presence. Now look at those moves during this set!!!
