Yes preese... all the monies plus some extra monies. Games like these are a revelation. Zero busy work, all atmosphere. The closest I can get to a holiday these days. So ICO Remake for all the monies... After you finish of the MGS remake would be fine :D
When it came out for ps2 I was 8 years old. I was to busy playing children's movie based games and thought SOTC was a grown up game. When the ps3 remaster came out I was a teen and already engrossed in the COD phase. Too busy yelling and being annoying on a mic to pay attention to the remaster. Now that I am 21 and hear so many great things about the original, I definitely want to pick up this one up.
@@clippacaddy1605 was just coming here to say the same, a very smart movie on Sony’s behalf if you ask me, they can now get a budget to make their own original ip and if Sony need a classic remaking they have that Aswell, another win for Sony
Really love you guys at Bluepoint. You always do such an amazing job. Thank you for showing so much love and ambition working and restoring the work of others.
So happy to see this team put 110% on this project. Listen to the way they speak about it. They truly love this game. Thank you, dev team. Going to buy this day one.
Yup. But Konami. Well, they had Bluepoint do the HD collection for MGS but for some reason decided to hand over the Silent Hill hd collection to some unexperienced, never heard of studio.
Bluepoint did an incredible job. So grateful to them for all of the hard work and care they put into this remake. Truly a labor of love and it shows. THANK YOU!!
I have never played the ps2 version. Recently bought the ps4 version. The moment I started playing the game , I already knew I was going to have a lot of fun. This is a wonderful game. I love it.
I can finally truly play this at modern standards - I never played either PS2 (never owned that console) or PS3 version (never got to it). So this is quite exciting.
Same. I still remember going to my friends house, sitting on the couch, watching him play. I wanted to play that game ever since. NOW I CAN DO THAT. Btw Dragon's Dogma the coolest thing that emerged (inspired) from SOC and probably one of the very best action adventure RPG games ever made.
This is one of those games that is simply too good to put into words. I'm happy to hear that the remaster was made in good hands. Can't wait to pick up my copy to experience this masterpiece all over again!
I never thought this would happen, and now I'm on my 10th Colossus on the ps4. It truly is beautiful. Thanks so much for giving me a bit of my childhood back for 5 hours so far.
Hope Capcom is watching this. THIS is how you do a remake! Super impressed with what this team has done to this game. It is jaw dropping. Plus they didnt really have to change much because this game is incredible as it was. Why fix it when its not broken. I am praying Resi 2 is done the same. Super upgrade to graphics and a bit of expansion and I am a colossal happy gamer.
i must have been under a rock had no idea this was happening, this game was like living in a dream everytime i played it. i can only imagine what it will be like now.
I've only just played it on PS4.(well with two colossi left) as simple as it is, it's certainly a masterpiece. Even my partner loved watching me play and she doesn't usually. Her words " I think you should play some more of the collosus game"
I love Bluepoint. I hadn't any playstation before I only played PS1 and PS3 here and there. And thanks to Bluepoing Games I've played beatiful remastered Uncharted series and now it's Shadow of the Colossus. I remember playing Resident Evil 4 on PC back in 2007 that was awful but this guys they really doing magic.
I hope they do this for ico and other classic games that need the fresh new paint. They did an amazing job and they deserve a lot of love for making this game as beautiful as it is and how we remembered it seem seamless.
Aron The Terminator, Capcom typically put very little effort into their remasters. Aside from their remake of Resident Evil on the Gamecube, they just port their games across & boost the resolution. The likes of Bluepoint (the best in the business when it comes to remasters & now remakes)& Nixxes do so much more, respecting both the source material, & by extension, the consumers.
Sir Galahad, I think that it was Hijinx (spelling?) that made that atrocity. I got it wrong with Nixxes though as they tend to aid developers in handling games for other formats. I'm a huge fan of The Order & would love to see a follow-up for it.
It's going on past 3 years now & this game is still one of the best looking if not the best looking game on PS4. It seems like everyday there is always a handful of live streams going on even after 3 years. New things are still being discovered just like with the original version. "Shadow Of The Colossus" is one-of-a-kind without question. And it's looking like "Praey For The Gods" is going to be an awesome spiritual successor. The full complete game should be out soon.
The Term Masterpiece Is Perfect for This game since PlayStation 2, Now in PlayStation 4 Is so much better not only because the evolution of Graphics Technology and more things.but besides being very touching is very Exciting especially history and soundtrack It's something to mark history in the Games world forever. this Game It's one of the best games of all time I Love this Game So much Thanks Bluepoint Games for The Remake SOTC you are Awesome! =) Shadow of The Colossus is not just a Game, it's A Complete Masterpiece!
What race when all the journalists, reviewers and even youtubers have the game a week ago... there's over 1700 copies of the game out at the moment... they even spoiled the trophies yesterday on twitter and there's youtubers uploading the game already when we are 11 days still from the release date.
Anita028 it’s the fact that the Journalists can only play up to Colossus 8 and for them to be able to reach the garden you have to play it like 4 times, collecting everything. So in other words there is no one who will reach the top until the game is fully released.
Yup. You have play the game up to 4-6x(NG+++++) to get max grip. So, it's still ON! I once dreamt that the Secret Garden had nekked faeries flying around and at the middle of the garden sat a nekked she-elf playing a harp while being whipped on her back by a fiery minotaur.LOL
*_I DON'T HAVE A PS4 BUT I PLAYED THIS MASTERPIECE ON PS2,IT CHANGED MY LIFE!THE VIBE,THE MUSICS,THE ART,THE STORY,ALL THESE THINGS MADE ME THINK ABOUT MY LIFE!I WANT TO PLAY IT ON PS4 TO FEEL IT AGAIN,AN UNIQUE FEELING!ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I EVER PLAYED!😥🎮_*
Bluepoint, you might be the developer equivalent of a cover band, but some covers are objectively better than the original and become known as the default. I really hope you guys get to do more classics like this.
It's an amazing remake, awesome work. They toned down a little bit too much overexposition, which is done on purpose on the original SOTC (light and darkness are prominent themes), for the sake of colorfulness, or color saturation, and technical correctness, though... Also, Wander's face is more badass and handsome in the original.
@Bluepoint Thank you for this great great masterpiece of a remake. Also Demon Souls was so spot on. I hope some day you will create your own game in this time of overall flawed AAA titles.
Looking forward to this! Could you guys please add stereoscopic-3D support to this PS4 version (like how the PS3 version did)?!!! If not at launch, as a patch at some point?
Sadly it looks like SONY is no longer interested in supporting stereoscopic 3D. Perhaps it's because they want to focus on the VR. While VR definitely puts you "in the game" it's just not the same as 3D. Hopefully when James Cameron's "Avatar 2" comes out 3D will get a resurgence & SONY will heed the call by making "affordable" 3D TV's & also supporting stereoscopic 3D in PS4 & PS5 games.
They talk about the collision but that's the part where the game falters A LOT compared to the original. Sometimes the character just glitches out while climbing and the game just feels weird.
