@@mikenitty top5 all time !!!! but people forgett about this art. tha kicks got me every time ! soooooooooo unique !!! just Brutal music ! 2024 still listening
The drum sounds used were definitely E-MU drum samples. I have the same drums in my E-MU Mo Phatt Proteus sound module. Most likely the drums were sampled from the Planet Phatt module into the MPC as a lot of Hip Hop Producer's used the drums from those old Proteus modules back in the day.
There's a Reggae version of this beat called Buster Rhymes Riddim with a whole lot of reggae artist on it one of them is Beenie Man - Bad Mind is Active.
This is fly as hellz man! I remember when this track came out! I was living in Jamaica at the time and this track along with Biggie’s Ready to Die album is what got me into hip hop!!! Fly work man!!
Gallant attempt to enhance and improvise on a seemingly basic loop. The secret to this tracks success is its simplicity within its complexity. When Busta brings his melody and calm lyrical persona on top the Union equates a final soulmate addition edition. The track then explores the natural realms of its fusion comfortably with a creative elemental creator . This track is a timeless classic one of the very few that doesn’t lend itself well to further construction or frivolous improvisation attempts.
YO! MY BRO SAID YOU DID A GOOD JOB ON THIS REMAKE, THIS BEAT CHANGED THE GAME @ THIS TIME!!! R.I.P. TO MY BRO SHAMELLO D!!!! WHO MADE THIS BEAT!!! #510FAMILY HOLLYWOOD SEC!!!
Thanks for the lesson like that sweetner dealio Yo buss is my favorite artist of all time. This my #2. Til it's gone bruh...the prophecy my dude. This a club getter down jam
dope as usual. thank you. I think your sweetener is more than the original track. actually makes it better. keep up the good work. maybe you should announce the track details too... like bpm. source of samples. loop length in bars etc... start standardizing the format of the remakes. good stuff.
Not bad. However, you missed a couple of key elements. The only reason I know is because we produced that record. It's still one of my favorites. Thanks for the acknowledgements.
Epic bro ! i try to translate it into flstudio, this helped me a lot to understand how this kick pattern is working specially on this beat its legendary pattern ! wohaa, thanks sir
sweet green fields by seals & crofts -- that's the song where the sample came from. In case you were wondering and want to pay respect to actual artists.........

Those drum sounds came from E-MU sound modules most likely the Planet Phatt that came out in 1996. I have all the same drum sounds used on the track found in my E-MU MO Phatt which is the 2nd gen of the Planet Phatt. I even have that burp sound that Timbaland was using on the Pony song as he used a E-MU Morpheus sound module back in the 90s. Some of the same sounds carried over to the early 2000s Proteus modules.

You neglect to mention the most important part of this: where you sampled this from. Buddah explains in detail how he and his partner came up with this.
