In this video TV Presenter Paul Cowland, of such programs as Salvage Hunters on The Discovery Channel, explains the benefits of the new MGB 2.0+ (2017cc) High Torque Engine (Part Number: G525) newly fitted in MGOC Spares test car. Paired with some lovely shots of it in action.
Our range of Power-Tec performance engines benefit from a long pedigree of tuning development, backed by our expertise to guide owners with any aspect of engine tuning or modification. Power-Tec performance and standard engines undergo a full remanufacturing process employing the latest technological advances resulting in an engine which exceeds the reliability, performance, and life of the original. Sourced from an accredited member of the Federation of Engine Re-Manufacturers and achieving British Standard BS.A.U.257 code of practice, engines are backed by an un-limited mileage twelve-month guarantee.
Featuring:
• Cylinder head fitted with 41mm Inlet Valves and Double Valve Springs
• New inlet & Exhaust valves
• Fast road camshaft.
• Duplex timing chain.
• Adjustable Vernier timing gear.
• Con rods “end to end” balanced.
• Pistons balanced.
• Stroked Crankshaft
• Crankshaft crack tested, reground, and polished.
• Reconditioned flywheel fitted with new ring gear.
• Clutch kit (Incur an additional charge on all engines apart from Stage II performance units.)
• Electronic balancing of crankshaft, flywheel, and clutch assembly.
• New core plugs, spark plugs, gaskets, seals, spigot bush, PRV spring and bearings as standard.
• New alloy rocker cover with chrome oil filler and fittings.
Final Assembly:
All engines are hot run under their own power. Oil pressure and cylinder compression is then checked, and the cooling system pressure is tested prior to the cylinder head being re-torqued and tappets being reset. Engines are then painted, sealed in polythene, and bolted into a steel frame for UK delivery to your chosen address.

That is the best advert for Castrol classic I've ever seen, if only all adverts were this good I would start watching TV again, as it is the adverts on TV boil my head,

I read somewhere that increasing capacity, to over 1860cc or so, could lead to weakness in the engine due to the amount of material taken away. Please could you clarify how you avoid doing that in this case?

I assume they stroke it more than bore it out.
