One of my bro's has the A7 3.0 TDI and he got it a bit louder by removing the restrictive bits like the diesel particulate filter. It was never super loud like a decat petrol car but still pretty cool. I guess that's the trade off with petrol vs diesel
I looked into removing the particulate filter but thats 'illegal' to drive without one should it have one, nobody would know but I didn't want to risk it. Petrol cars sounds great but if you want that MPG .. gotta deal with the sound!
@@karllittle8572 I agree with you Karl. Its not a tremendous sound inside the cabin but I think that's partly to do with all of the sound proofing. Have you got rid of yours now ?
5 days ago , i bought a 2015 A7 sline 272, after seeing this vid ill defo will remap it for her, tbh i drvie 15 S8 570bhp, and after drive her car i can tell A7 with 272 is very nippy from 0-60 . really good car /. i happy i got her A7 with this spec and will fully recomend to anyone to consider it or tryt, im sure youll love it.
The noise of the bitdi makes me still want that instead of the 270hp version ....but I just can’t decide!?!? Plus do I get grey like yours or white....
This makes me question my A7, the previous owner of mine went as far as putting a private plate on it which is "RS07" as the start of the reg and it is extremely fast in all aspects, regardless of speed it pulls, even hear the turbo spooling in efficient mode, it's actually nuts in sports mode, I actually believe mine has been remapped.
I've got BITDI one, and thinking to go this place You've been to do remap, shows after remap should be 400hp and 750Nm 😍😍😍 Plus I've noticed they do gearbox remaps as well, why You didn't thought about doing it at yours?
I got my A6 3.0 TFSI remapped to your same( HP 50 HP to 60 HP) increase, and I honestly can say that I do not feel any difference in performance before the remapp.
have you looked into a TCU tune? a5/a7 tfsi tcu restricts ~1k rpm from 7200 unless tuned, that would liven your ride and take most benefit from your map. read into it.
@@kibki5773 just got the TCU a week ago and again cannot feel any difference in overall Tiptronic performance. Gear changed still laggy. Independent Tuner said I should wait aprox 500 kms for adaptation?? Any thoughts?
@@jj-tq4hx breaking it in would make sense if the ecu has to readjust to altered tcu programming. personally, I’d opt into throttle body upgrade for improved response and slight juice boost, as well as sorting out suspension and any possible imbalances in drivetrain. I’d assume the gearbox is the zf8, run on a7 3.0 TFSI (c7) which the rs7 also comes with. shouldnt be even sweating the power gains. unless im mistaken, theres probably a hidden issue somewhere between powertrain and earth.
I have one and love it, had the Turbo done on warranty as it failed but asked the guys at Audi about remapping but they said no as the warranty would void? have u still got Warranty on the car?
The car is a 2015 and only had the standard 3 years warranty, I took an extended year when I bought it but that ran out last year. Audi will still service it but because you've tampered with it they won't guarantee any work thats related to the engine
Have you had to have the gearbox serviced on it? I’ve got the S-tronic 3.0 V6 TDi on a 15 plate and wondering if you’ve had to have yours done also? Mines booked in. £250 though!!! Believe it’s meant to be done every 40k miles. Wanted to hear your experience if you’ve sorted it? Cheers
I had mine serviced 2 months ago and yes it’s very expensive all together for my service at Audi it was nearly £800, very expensive but understandable for a 3.0l engine and etc
