Everyone seem to say JV will just getting stronger every stage, but it can just as easy to say he will get more tired and less able to recover just like ever other tdf racer! if hard racing will make a racer stronger, they are should go for 3 grand tour instead of otherwise around!

Not tomorrow no. If he can avoid loosing more than seconds tomorrow he will be happy. He is just not in shape and hasn't even reconned the route. If he has any chance this tour it will be in the last few days of it.

​@@mracer8i don't get why people Say he will be stronger. There is an argument to be made that he will actually fade because of lack of training volume.

You think it is a possibility that JV can beat Pogi by over 50 second and Remco by 45 second on a 25.3km(16 miles) itt? wow!!

Do you have any inside info on what kind of motor they'll be adding to his bike?

Jonas is not in his top form yet(only 4 weeks to prepare), he'll definitely be at top in the crucial moments.

The way I see it, Jonas is still building up form, Pogacar with the Giro in his legs will go down in form. Week 3 will be the real judge of the TdF. Like Jonas said "our time will come"

Im not so sure about that, and im actually rooting for jv too. I think rather they are lacking the cards to play, so they are holding on for dear life and cannot execute the plan they wanted - mountains where jonas is strong will be so hard without sepp also. I think only jonas himself can pull through this, and he still isnt 100%. I also think that he will vastly underperform in time trials this year because of lack of huge preparations, another of his big strengths lacking support. We shall see, but at this point the odds look in favor of tadej, but time till tell how vingegaard turns out this year. This time trial will reveal a lot i think.

@@gg05irgm What do you think after the time trial yesterday? I was quite impressed with Jonas. However, it also revealed that Wout truly is not close to being his normal impressive form. Not surprising after his crash but a blow. And you are absolutely right about the high montains without Sepp. I hope Matteo's form also progresses through the weeks a bit so he can stay with Jonas a little longer. In any case, I'm absolutely with you: This is Tadej's Tour to lose and I don't expect him to majorly blow up in week 3. But I guess, we will see. :)

@@Pipe_JL but also according to that logic Pogi can go 1-2mins down on GC and he will smash everyone on last TT just like he did in 2020 lol. Every year its different.

If Jonas is that much better then Pogi on the high mountain, then tdf is over and there is no point on GC racing!

Seems like Pogi was nursing his wrist injury last year and came out swinging, only to blow up from a preparation deficit. Yet oddly, this year, all ive heard, "Jonas's only going to get stronger as the race goes." Maybe I'm missing something?

Not long enough...Remco will win the TT, probably, but will NOT take that much time. POGI is a very good tt guy.....wouldn't surprise me if POGI were to win the tt....

Yes no much power on his legs..he will lose 30sec-1min on tadej. But normal..

Why? He beat Tadej decisevly in TTs in the previous two Tours.

Also jonas wife is pregnant, so he can’t do the vuelta this year, therefore he might as well try the Tour even if he is not ready- and then hope for miracles!!
