Ice Cube in the campaign was boss, but the killstreaks etc in multiplayer just sounds like somebody trying to impersonate him😂I mean hell I may be wrong but it's just what I'm hearing haha
BO1 was my absolute favourite COD. Cant believe its nearly 10 years old. I might jump back on and have some fun. The memories of all those streaks, the campaign, multiplayer menu music, zombies and THE NUMBERS.
I’ve been tempted to buy two more Galil replicas and have them painted by a well known artist in the airsoft community to have them look like that first camo you were running and the Tiger camo. Those were my favorites right next to gold.
Favorite killstreak of all time is easily swarm. Bonus for K9+Swarm combo. Killstreaks not counting towards other killstreaks IS A GOOD THING. MW2 killstreaks were broke and it needed to change.
I’m surprised you had to wait so long for a lobby. I’ve been playing like everyday for the past couple months now and find lobbies almost instantly. I’m on the 360, I know says “1.6Mil” online, but if you check the actual game playlists, it shows the actual numbers which is ~150k online, with like ~100k online TDM. Greatest COD by far, endless fun
There’s not 100k in TDM, it’s all glitched out it has been like this for over half a year now. The player count vs how many are playing modes are always a bit different even when player counts are accurate because it’s counting people who are just logged in not playing or playing another mode which would be zombies in this case
Kurokami Najimi Ohhh interesting, thanks for correcting me. My point still stands though of finding lobbies in under a minute, and my connection isn’t even the greatest
God I miss this game 😭 like beyond belief. When everyone was online every night ready to squad up on S&D for houuuuurs on end. Then a cheeky Quickscope session on Modern Warfare 2 back and forth 😂 ... two beautiful and nostalgic games. I miss the days
@@jamestoye9251 umm no he didn't lol. He 100% said it before that kid. The instant he got the hit marker, I came down and commented idiot... God take your own advice and listen. You're probably 12 and already a jackass.
I remember running Hardline Pro with Sam Turret, Care Package, Sentry Gun when you could reroll any package drop. That shit was stupid on those 24/7 Nuketown servers
fun fact: the reason this game always felt glitchy and never ran as smoothly as mw2 is that this game is built on the same engine as cod4 and w@w. Infinityward updated the engine substantially which is why mw2 was such a smooth game. That being said this game was fantastic in so many ways but looking back now and dropping into the multiplayer this game feels much older than mw2 even though it came out a year later.
Still own this game and my PS3 to this day. I never traded a game in. Those were the good old days of free online multiplayer on PS3 back when this game was so popular. I just play mostly single-player games on PS4 today.
This video brought back a lot of memories from me. Such a nostalgic game. Nothing better than coming home after a long day at school and hopping on Black Ops 1 with the bros.
Even tho no one used it, my fav killstreak was the stealth Bomber from MW2. Usually it got you no kills, but when you pulled a perfectly placed one in domination and got a Multi-kill !!! So satisfying
Remember playing bo1 at my friend's house for the first time and then immdiately begging my parents to buy it. I was 11 years old all my friends had it and I just needed it! Man time flies...
I loved the blackbird for every map, but with certain maps my favorite streak for specific maps like nuketown and firing range i loved the rolling thunder.
Honestly just hearing the multiplayer menu theme gives me good memories and nostalgia on this game. Remembered spending hours on this game after school. Still a classic💯
God bro look how simple the maps were back then. A handful of cheap spots but mostly just lanes and choke points. Domination played so well on these maps. This is one of my favorite cod maps ever honestly. I wish someone could copy this old cod formula.
SAM turrets were great for countering squads by shooting down killstreaks and even the occasional Rolling Thunder. As a person that played as more of a lone wolf, SAM turrets allowed me to help my team not get overwhelmed while I snuck around and flanked them. Valkyrie missile were ok but I mainly used them to take down killstreaks. Never like dogs cause they were a bit underwhelming, but at times they could get easy 10kills with them.
I always found the best way to use the Valkyrie rockets, was to fire them straight up in the air, and go as high as you can before the signal cuts out. You basically get 2 pred missiles that way.
Thanks man. You’re the only dude I know that does stuff like this and it truly takes me back to my childhood days of bo1 and mw2 & mw3. Love the content you do 🔥
Hell yeah I remember! I miss the Rc Xd and the Dogs and not to mention chopper gunner and gun ship were just insane and gave off that Vietnam feel. Napalm strike was meta on domination.
Bo1 cod was the best cod ever. I can’t even play it out of fear of being reset by a modder because I legit got every single gun golden. Best kill streak was probably the black bird though with how prevalent ghost was.
Tappajaav I don’t play it really at all anymore. I did all of it back when the game was popular and just only really play custom games with friends now.
This is super late but my fav kill streak was the knife suit?? From ghost, you could run around the map absorbing bullets and knifing helpless peep. I almost got my first bike bc of it but the game timer ran out
I'd forgotten how good BO1 was. Whilst MW1 through to MW2 were the peak years for me, BO1 brought in some nice killstreaks, it had the customisable player cards, those lovely rock sound effects upon challenge completion, some fantastic guns and a different style of gameplay which was more lane based. Loved how it coincided with GB getting popular too for the skilled players.
I miss this game- mainly for the maps and currency system (and the wager matches that went with it).. But the maps- my god were they perfect. Cod 4 had generally smaller maps, waw had poor graphics that made seeing enemies somewhat difficult (not that bo1 had good graphics for its time, but at least the colours made it much better) and mw2 had too much ‘nook and cranny’ spots with a bit too much verticality for my taste.. Bo1 had maps that flowed so fucking well. Every map had their own formula in their map designs and all the maps had their own personality. The best thing about these maps were the objective placements. Bomb sites for demolition/SnD were placed in spots that made sense and worked extremely well with the traffic patterns. They weren’t placed out in the open where the attacking team had a million spots to check beforehand and the sites weren’t too ‘tucked away’ where it was easily defendable- both sides were even across the board. No Cod game will beat bo1’s maps imo. The kill streaks however were a bit stale coming off of mw2 (where kill streaks were way op).. Kills from kill streaks in bo1 did not stack nor did they cycle after hitting the 3rd kill streak- you had to die before starting up the kill streaks again. I miss the Sam turret as it was one more thing that nullified the uav’s. I remember literally EVERYONE hating the rc-xd (myself included) but in hindsight- I guess it helped ween people off of ghost for flak jacket. Valkyrie rockets were never used because they were garbage at 7 kills whereas the attack heli would get you 3-8 kills consistently. The blackbird was the only kill streak that was mw2-level op as it was the best kill streak in the game and given to you at only 8 kills. I miss when I had to make the tough choice between napalm strike and mortars along with gunship or attack dogs (although the choice for gunship/dogs were easier to pick whether the map was mostly in/outdoors), there were some good kill streaks but were not perfect. I did however, love that kill streaks weren’t all-encompassing and the emphasis was on gun-on-gun action. Even though this game had one of the worst coding in the franchise with horrible lag and hit detection (extremely important- more important than the maps)- but the maps were so fucking good that it practically made up for its shortcomings. If I could go back to 2010/11 I wouldn’t have taken this game for granted. Saying that though, the new COD has definitely gone in the right direction and I probably shouldn’t take this game for granted cause if history repeats itself, I’d be saying a lot of the same things now but 10 years from now.
Jon Lenin the games straight up the worst in cod history dookie af, remember launch? The overhaul saved it along with warzone. Also have you ever played td or ffa? Nothing but campers and most games don’t even reach score limit, imagine. Doors, the maps are terrible, can’t stay in same lobby, ruined mini map, THE FOOTSTEPS oh my gosh the footsteps, lack of color contrast of the players (people blend in so well with the shadows and environment straight up invisible sometimes), the game encourages and helps campers so much, etc I’m forgetting stuff too. only good thing about this game is gun smith. If you like Modern snorefare bro seek help, if you’re willing to put it next to some of the best cods bro you’re beyond saving
Napalm strike to see what the Rock's cooking? Hearing those words: "SR71 is ready' is satisfying. "What's that? Do I hear Unfortunate Son song?" Gunship is my ringtone.
my blackops setup class was almost always Killstreaks: 3 Spy plane 5 Napalm strike 8 Blackbird Class : Ghost Pro, Sleight of hand Pro ,Ninja Pro/Hacker Pro Guns : Silenced AK47 (3 shots kill garantueed) Strela-3 (To counter enemy killstreaks effectivly) or ballistic knife because it one shots and was an really effective close range weapon Stats: K/D 8.33 Winrate 82.33%
God damn I miss BO1. Not only was it a fun game, it released at a fun time. The early 2010s were a fun time, because it was during the rise of the gaming community on RU-vid. Before Twitch was a major player. Those were some of the best years of my life by far
Absolutely keep the BO1 content coming, it'll be cool to watch some nostalgic videos while getting ready for the new cod which is also supposed to be a Black Ops game
The rolling thunder was awesome. Didnt use it much but when someone on the enemy team called that in, it put some fear into you lol. Dogs were cool and fun to just let them to do their thing. But they either got you alot of kills or not many at all. So that sucked kind of. Huey was awesome. Didn't use it much. But the blackbird was by far my favorite easily. Once I had that in the air, I could just play so aggressive. And id end up stacking my kill streaks after I died. And by time the one sr71 was gone, I'd have another lol. Enemy team was like what the fuck man haha. But all in all, this was probably my favorite cod ever. So much fun and so many memories on that game.
BO1 and MW3 were the best in the series imo. Not only did the games play super well, But they were both incredibly pleasing on the eyes. The amount of detail for a ps3 gen game is crazy. Even in the modern games it lacks the atmosphere these two had.
Back in the day there was a glitch with hard line pro. You could run Sam turrent, care package and sentry gun an you could re roll each of them to get something else. A lot of times you’d end up getting actual decent kill streaks since it doesn’t take many kills to get those original streaks
Ol Black ops! Good times, man! ❤️😁👌🏻 I remember playing the campaign on Christmas the year it came out and got maybe half way through and was like, I should stop and save some for later! I then came back an hour later and finished it! 😅👍🏻 love the SR71 Blackbird! One of the coolest jets ever made! One of my favorites!
I used to play BO1 every day (on PC), but I got deranked a few weeks back, cannot change my classes anymore, and I get an error every time I pass level 29, which puts me always back to level 29. Activision won't help of course, because they only help MW2019 players, so RIP BO1 for me. It's nice to see you play it again tho.
What's really weird is this game is still alive and well on PC european servers. You'd think a Vietnam era cold war amercan-centric game would be more popular in the US, but go figure. I've recently started playing it again, and it doesn't have any issues w hackers due to anticheat and active admins, but holy shit the game is populated entirely by sweats. Actually, it seems to be most popular in Germany and Russia, which is even weirder.
I bought Black Ops 1 this week again for xbox 360 for just $8, playing it in my xbox one s with no problems most of the time. Nice game, brings back memories, but I suck...
you should do a series on mw2 called something like viewers create my class or something, the class with the most upvotes on the video gets featured in the next video or something? would love to see you kick it off with a riot shield, any pistol and tac knife, scavenger, danger close, commando, c4 and stuns to get a nuke. Love your content btw, keep doing what ya doing
