she was the best back than,i was one of those disco italians ,right after saturday night fever came out we just blew the clubs up and sos band was one of the greatest back then and she really was a talent and her voice just ran past the rest. greatest time of my life. praise to her and the SOS band
My mom played SOS Band when I was a kid. 24 and I had 1200 songs on my phone majority of the were songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Thanks Terry Swoope for taking me down memory lane.
Growing up in Southern Cali L.A. my family 1st. Generation Mexican /American "Chicano" my Cousins and my family played S.o.S band in our Chevy impalas lowriders or kickbacks ! Along with other artists! 😀😎
Another cool video, she is still one lovely lady, & let's not forget one of their best slow jams & one of the best of the 80s, imo, Tell Me If You Still Care, it puts you under a spell & she sings her part with sooo much heart & soul!
☆My husband is a Professional Photographer that did The SOS Band photography pictures when they were just starting out he said that they were so nice and so kind.☆☆☆☆☆
@@tuttobene8183 hi i googled this information it's called" The S.O.S. BAND The unseen interview" on RU-vid ▪ This is the most recent information about the beautiful lady and singing voice of Ms Mary Davis i hope this helps ❤⚘🍃
The S.O.S. Band was one of my favorite groups growing up. I still love their music today. I heard Mary Davis was having some health issues. I hope she's doing well!
I vividly remember back in 1980 that the S.O.S. Band was the first act to release new music and their sound from their first 2 albums changed the sound of R&B Funk music. Mary Davis's is very authentic and recognizable. (I love her voice). After the first 2 albums were released the band went into another direction and was working with mega music producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and then the hits kept coming for awhile. I still listen to their talented timeless music.
My all time favorite track from the SOS band is, "The Finest", this song never gets old, at least not to me!...SOS band was one of the best R&B bands of that era.
I was in love with her back then and I'm still in love with her now black definitely don't crack😘😘😘😍😍😍👑 and that sweet chocolate ain't nowhere near spoiled
My advice to Mary Davis is according to Frankie Beverly of the group maze he said these words a group that plays together Stay Together that's why his group Maze featuring Frankie Beverly is still selling out concerts today and Frankie Beverly has no intention of leaving the group
Saw them at a music festival when the band was hot. After working security, I had a 'seat' standing 10 feet away from the stage. I'll never forget her locking eyes with me and singing to ME for about 4-5 seconds of eternity. For a few seconds there she was "into" me. But she came back to me twice more in that performance and I was thinking: "This chick is INTO me!" I realized she was just stage-flirting, but I was thrilled. She was HOT in those pants, heels and braids. 31 years later ... well.... not a hottie. But it appears she can still throw down.
Makes me sad to see how far the talent has fallen. The technology has progress leaps and bounds but the talent and Musicianship has regressed severely.
I remember "Don't wear it out!!" Always loved her voice & the SOS Band songs!!! That one particular album they made was golden in the 80's!!!! Tell me if you still care, weekend girl etc... I think Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis helped with that album... mayb Alexander O'Neal on a few songs as well?! Was lookin for her song on Spotify!! Of course they don't have every song!!! "Don't wear it out "...isn't to be found🤔🙄
