Times seemed simpler then...there were rides, dances and amusements. It was a place where families and friends played, picnicked and strolled: from the dance halls to the Midway, with bumper cars and carousel, miniature train and trolleys. "The Jack Rabbit" and "The Hammer" reigned. From 1889 to 1968, Natatorium Park was a "Spokane" place to be.

Just talked to the manager of Sans Souci and she’s gonna let me tour the mobile home park! She said there are still several little gems from the park around. I’m so beyond excited! Born and raised in Spokane. I’m 43 now and just recently started diving into our history. I’m absolutely fascinated by the park. It closed 11 years before I was born. I’ve watched this documentary about 20 times now. Wonderful. ❤🥰❤️

Being born in Spokane, I was 6 years old when I first had the privilege of riding "The Octopus" at Nat Park. I rode with my father and my older brother. It frightened me so bad... I pissed my pants... literally.

I grew up in the northwest part of Spokane in the 50`s and 60`s, it was always fun for us kids to go on a "big adventure" on our bikes over to Nat Park . my dad was a Shriner and one day he came home with a huge roll of tickets !

Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful. And I am STILL sad that the Nat Park of my youth is gone. I'm also sad that William Oliver left us so quickly.

We moved here from CA more than 6 years ago and we love this city very much. It's a pleasure to be here and I wished everyone would work together to keep Spokane the same.
