Remembering MUKESH on his 97th birth anniversary July 22 

The Prince of Pathos and the Voice of Raj Kapoor. A man, who with 1200 songs, still matched the stature of Rafi (7000) and Kishore (5000) and kept films alive with his timeless voice. Who remembers Pehli Nazar but for 'Dil ja;lta hai to jalne do'? Pushpanjali but for 'Duniya se jaanewale' or Sabak but for 'Barkha rani zara jam ke barso'.
Known today as Neil Nitin Mukesh's grandfather, he is Nitin Mukesh's father and a versatile singers who also has fun songs and semi-classicla numbers to his credit.
