Great question actually! And the “respect for the dead” is such a silly thing I find. My mother never let me say anything negative about a diseased relative, which is quite confusing to me. Death does not suddenly makes them saints. But I suppose maybe people were afraid to be haunted by evil spirits?!!! 🫣 Also I expect a lot of commonwealth countries will now become republics and no longer recognize a British monarch as their own. Where I come from we abolished monarchy a while back (proudly), although there is a monarchic party that intends to bring back monarchy. In our republic we give a chance to different families to leave off of the people. 😜 And to be “parasites”. Queen Elizabeth’s life was however quite fascinating and she was quite a brilliant human being a find! Anyone that loves dogs must be a good human being! Finally the support for the British monarchy may come because it is a “tourism” feature, bringing a lot of revenue, thus perhaps the support!

Wow, thanks for your comments... from my experience, the Royal Family have become more distant from modern society, up until very recently - The Crown definitely helped to humanise the family, but I think their support from younger generations is waning. So, it will be interesting to see what Charles does, especially at a time when people will have to choose between heating their homes and buying food for the week. With all this said, I think there is a respect for The Queen as she held the mantel for so long and worked up until the day she died, regardless of her title, I think people, like in the episode, see her as a parent, grandparent & as a person.

Oh wow, and will you then watch the funeral? It seems surreal that she has died as she's been in the public eye my entire life and seems almost like a fictional character.

@@EasyEnglishVideos well , we had an earthquake in the year 1980 in Algeria , which caused great losses. So the queen elizabeth || and her late husband got off on a private ship to visit the place , I mean a very gentelman's attitude from her ,, God bless her

I believe that she was an example of service to her people. It is especially impressive how, even as a little girl, she helped her people during the Second World War, when in 1940 Great Britain was left alone against two bloodthirsty empires - fascist and communist. And it was very nice that she also publicly supported Ukraine in the fight against the latest fascists and helped us financially and with her own money. Therefore, I remain grateful to Queen Elizabeth and the entire British people for your help on our way to freedom and democracy
