OH 😮 Roxy Music 🎶. Such memories. I saw them in concert when I lived in Columbus, OH. They were the front group for Electric Light Orchestra. This was in the mid 70’s. Thank you 🙏 for walking us down memory lane 🎉

Amazing Job! I love seeing how you complete the piece, as I rely on watercolor so much, and my pieces often look unfinished. Now, I do love to paint eyes, and I think if you add some iris's to the male that would complete this piece wonderfully. I loved hearing your story of your brother. While my brother was 6 years older than me, and not quite as generous, there were similar memories, although I judge I'm about 6 years older than you, and I never heard of Roxy music until the MTV years, and Avalon. I had no idea of the earlier albums in the 70's and must run across them some time.

He would clearly be proud of you and his love for his little sister was obviously deep. The image of you sneaking into his room and listening to his LPs is absolutely precious. “More Than This” kept running through my head as you were painting. The original version not any covers . I was a fan in college, but didn’t possess the depth of knowledge you’ve shared here. I’m a better person for watching this video and I dearly thank you for this demonstration! You wielded that WN goat hair calligraphy brush like it was made specifically for you! Thank you for gifting us with your time and immense talents❤ Your painting is magnificent. The emotion you’ve captured in their faces is palpable. I was a huge audiophile as well-still am. I still listen to CDs, and would still listen to LPs, but because of a heartbreaking miscommunication, our record albums were sold in a garage sale. I’ve forgiven that error, yet cannot deny the pain in knowing I’ll never again see the original cover of The Stones’ Some Girls with the images of Marilyn Monroe intact, nor ever be able to unzip Mick’s jeans again on Sticky Fingers. At least Led Zeppelin’s In Through The Out Door CD comes in a mini paper bag. (I, too, kept a Casey Kasem top 40 log) Thank you, thank you, thank you .

Speaking as someone who just spent waaaay too much money on a hifi stereo setup including a record player, passive speakers and a receiver with plenty of dials and doohickeys for my 29th birthday, I'm happy to report that the audiophile lifestyle is alive and well - as is the reputation of Sony for high quality electronics... I'd never buy headphones from anyone else! Always love to see your videos on my feed - no idea why I only saw this one now! Hope you have a great day! I also spend a lot of time writing down information in my notebook... my dream job is "archive hermit" but sadly they don't seem to hire those anymore?!

thank you for sharing! I always get kinda jealous when people talk about how they had a cool family member who had a big influence on their musical interests growing up. I had a pretty hard time getting into music as a kid (and even now honestly) because the ONLY album my parents would ever play in the house until I was about 12 or so was the three tenors live concert from 1994. not exactly super relatable for a middle schooler 😅 nessun dorma still kinda sets off my fight or flight ngl.

Never heard of more than half the groups you mention. Which I love. I can't stand being fed the same ole shit by the clone by a different name. I want to learn, think, expand. I don't have to like it or agree with it, but I want to know they are there. So heading to look up and listen to Roxy group, Roxy music, Roxy somebody lol.
