This morning, we remember Tamayo Perry, a lifeguard with the City and County of Honolulu killed Sunday in a rare, fatal shark attack on O'ahu's North Shore.

So sad. Shocking news. The risk of shark attack at this place is very low. Tamayo will remain a legend forever in a all the surfers hearts around the world. My sincere condoleance to all the close ones. Ride In Peace Tamayo.
I think you should compare this to the message of a poem that I will TRY to remember, if I can. One day thwre werw thousands starfish stranded on a beach. I think a kid was throwing them back into the water to save them from dying, but there was such a huge number of starfish stranded that most would die before anybody could never , rather than being in the water where they can "breathe" and stay alive. that first pointed out that the The risk of shark attack at that place wad NOT low for the person who was killed.
I was just reading up on shark attacks around the islands yesterday. Was not expecting to see this news less than 24 hours later. Very saddened to hear of Tamayo’s passing. Condolences to his family and many, many loved ones.
Tomayo was one of the most likeable people I ever met. And to think about all the lives he saved as a life guard, man, what a huge contribution he made to humanity. He will be deeply missed.. R.I.P. brother.

Prayers for his family, see even a pro surfer, water man like himself, this could happen to any of us. Wildlife and nature are unpredictable, we are invading their space we cannot go after or put any blame on the wildlife as Tamayo Perry understood and knew very well. Very tragic. .
As much as we all love to go for a swim in the sea , no can predict what is swimming near you or under you , not even the best Swimmer , sea angler , Surfer, or boat men and were in the world , tray to stay safe everyone , so very sad this happened to a beautiful man , my sincere condolences to all his family and friends 😢😢🙏🙏🕊️🕊️❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧

What a loss. Have a good journey! We need more anti shark technology. Tourniquet stations at every beach, drones patrolling the coast line with some kind of alert for swimmers and surfers, shark deterrent device build in on your surfboard, camouflage wetsuits, etc etc.

@@CastleMc well its easy to find out. Tigershark Bullshark White tip oceanic shark are Hawaiis most dangerous sharks, but tigershark bite is very easy to see and Bullshark. So i hope we can find out so we can learn from this tragic encounter of nature, when family and friends of him had their mourning, funeral and acceptance a life without him in this life.
