The Mildenhall Branch has been of keen interest to me. I am currently planning a O Gauge layout featuring various types of ex Great Eastern Locomotives, but that won't be for a while. But I am pleased to see there are videos on YT about this little Branchline. There's just something about it which is so different to others which make it so interesting.

Very good video once again, and very excited for you series for this. I’m a big fan of LNER Steam, particularly from the GER, and it’ll be awesome to have a TS series that gives some light to this part of the network. It’d be cool to see some ex-GER locomotives on the line, like the E4s, J15s, N7s and maybe even a J69. Even some later types like the Ivatt 2MT moguls and some BR designs, it all sounds very exciting. Keep up the great work!

J15s won't feature initially due to the poor quality of models available in game, if a J69 does come to the game I'll likely consider it and if the Ivatt Moguls are good they'll get added if not it'll be Standard 2s as placeholders

I have to say, James. When I saw this video, I couldn’t help but feel excited. I also didn’t know that Mildenhall was a market town. Then again, I’m not all that surprised. Personally, I think that the closure of the branch line is a crying shame, as I feel as though it would be easier to get to Cambridge that way rather than taking a bus to Bury St. Edmunds and then taking a train to Cambridge that way. I have a lot more to say, but I’ll share my thoughts later on Discord.

Unfortunately apart from Mildenhall there were very few settlements of any size on the route. To few passengers used the line and it had very little industry on the line so it didn't bring in much revenue. Take Quy station is a prime example of what was wrong with many branch line stations, it was a long walk from the village it served and was less popular than the village bus stop.

There was never an oil refinery at Barnwell but there was an oil terminal.
