Thank you so much for sharing your valuable knowledge! If you want your barrel seal/O ring to last take one drop of pellet gun oil Pellgun oil. It is easy on the rubber seals....

I'll never forgot the video of Remington field testing the 1100 shooting hundreds of ammo and getting it hot then throwing it in a pond then reshooting it. Thanks for the video and looking forward to the breakdown. I'm so glad I own this iconic firearm it's one of my favorites for sure.

Owned 2 1100’s. Wanted the special field when it came out then the 870 Special field came out bought instead. Lighter to carry as I hunted quail back in late 70 and early 80’s

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have taken care of several 20 gauge 1100s used in our County 4H program. Taught the kids to clean them at the end of the day and the maintenance items you covered and they run just fine. Best part is the reduced recoil compared to other shotguns that we tried. Have you ever worked on any early 12 gauge 1100s that have a crimped ring on the magazine tube instead of an O-Ring?

I have a 20 gauge 870 special field. Never seen another like it other than a 20 gauge 1100 special field that was with the one I bought. I got the 870 because it was less expensive. How rare is this gun?

A smart Alek guide in Argentina once cracked to me that they called them 1099’s because one part was always broken. Some perspective, dove guns in Argentina can see thousands of rounds in a day without adequate rest for cooling. Citoris were always my choice for this reason. Great video! Every 1100 owner should watch it.

When I was looking for my first autoloading Shotgun, I was cautioned numerous times not to buy a Remington 1100 as they had problems. One person specifically mentioned the "seals". I bought a used Browning B80 in immaculate condition that came with a second barrel with screw in chokes. Never had any issues with it.

It's too bad you were lied to because there's probably no better semi-automatic weapon made today than the Remington 1100

Buongiorno, vorrei sapere come rilevare la strozzatura sulla canna quale e’ il codice impresso sulla canna m grazie
@BTORange
@BTORange 5 месяцев назад
@francescoaiello9315

Grazie, mi riferisco però al grado di strozzatura della canna fissa, che in Italia e’ contraddistinto dal simbolo delle stellette punzonate sulla canna , @@BTORange

Does Remington still make the 1100?
@BTORange
@BTORange 4 месяца назад
RemArms will be producing the Model 1100 in 12ga, 20ga and .410 but in "Sporting" version only.
@danslaugh5491

Why isn’t John Browning mentioned. He was the man behind the 1100 after his shotgun was developed in Belgium years ahead of Remington .
@BTORange
@BTORange 6 месяцев назад
Completely different design. The Remington Model 11 and Model 11/48 were based on the Browning long recoil design but the Remington 1100 is not.
@danslaugh5491
@danslaugh5491 6 месяцев назад
@@BTORange in 1899 Browning went to the President of Remington to present him a chance to manufacture his shotgun. While waiting in his office the president of Remington died. Browning then went to Fabric National who made hid shotgun. After many years it became the Remington 1100 with a few superficial changes.
@BTORange
@BTORange 6 месяцев назад
That is true regarding the Model 11. The Model 1100 is gas operated and completely different.
