I have some of the fondest memories of WCPW. I suffer from depression, anxiety, and agoraphobia which makes attending live events really difficult but I think over the course of the promotion I managed to attend four live shows, splurging on front row tickets each time. It felt like a really big deal for me to be able to attend a wrestling show but the atmosphere was so positive, and the fans felt so welcoming that it was some of the least stressful live events I’ve ever attended. I did have to leave a couple of shows before the end when my brain betrayed me but I got to see some fabulous wrestlers perform. Seeing Penta El Zero M wrestle in the World Cup was amazing but perhaps my absolute favourite memory was the infamous top rope incident where the top rope broke and the performers improvised around it to create a really memorable match that took a negative and turned it into a wonderful positive. I never got to see a Defiant show because my mental health problems have largely worsened over time which has taken live events off the menu but I’ll be forever grateful that I got to see such amazing talents ply their trade. It will be sadly missed.

Sad to see WCPW close down. Stopped watching a bit after Cultaholic was formed. Lots of good storylines (BX VS Pachiti Club, Pachiti VS Kirby, Heel Joseph Connors) great wrestlers (Kurt Angle, Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, Broken Matt Hardy) and excellent concepts (WCPW World Cup, a rumble to see who faced Kurt Angle, a ROH title defense to kick things off). The glowstick moment was definitely one of the highlights, and I'll always be proud of the small part I inadvertently played in making it happen. I had taken glowsticks for me and my mates to the previous Loaded taping(#10), and it was off the back of that that someone on the Facebook fan-page rallied people to bring them en-masse to RTL. Hadn't realized until now that WCPW also handed a bunch out, but I know there were at least several hundred brought by fans themselves. Such a fun moment, and I have many fond memories of the promotion, especially in that first year or so.

I always felt the re-brand killed it, although as it happened at the same time as the walk-out, it's hard to tell. Re-brand seemed pretentious, ditching the internet name which is where it all started, felt strangely betrayed.

Trying to cut out the thing that helped made it was a dumb move. Even if it was in correlation with the walk-outs, the fact that the show was built on the name helped its death.

The issue with the name was that there was already a Windy City Pro Wrestling in Chicago since 1988. I think that was giving them some legal trouble. They could certainly demand Google take down their videos based on trademark infringement. It's kinda similar to the WWF lawsuit that birthed WWE in 2002.

Watching you guys start and star in WCPW was super cool. Very obvious that a bunch of wrestling fans and friends realized some of their dreams, even if you weren't there forever

Great podcast! Thank you for sharing so many of your memories from WCPW! I was at the first London show, it was incredible and to be there for Galloway's promo is a memory that will stay with me! That and Adam's arsecrack!

WCPW provided so many great moments! It made me a Drew Galloway super fan with his gold promo, title win and a number of incredible matches. I'm really gonna miss it

I haven't watch Defiant for a while to be honest but watching this reminds you just how many great moment WCPW actually had which in hindsight is truly amazing.

WCPW was by far my favourite brand at the time, it got me back into wrestling and introduced me to indie stars. I watched every live stream & went to see Delete WCPW, which I can still say today was my favourite wrestling event I’ve seen. Thank you so much guys!

You guys did something very special with WCPW, i still remember the (i think it was first) hardcore match between Rampage and Drake it was bit sloppy but it was one hell of a match to watch. Thank you for introducing stars like: Martin Kirby, David Starr, Mustache Mountain, Big Damo, Gabriel Kidd and many others it was really a experience to tune in to watch you guys live every week.

2016/17 was peak indie wrestling. Now that WWE and AEW have signed most of the top indie stars companies like WCPW/Defiant were always gonna struggle

Super fun and nostalgic. Thanks WCPW started just around the time I got into wrestling and was one of the first indies I ever watched. Thanks guys for all the entertainment that you gave us.

I didnt wach my first WCPW match till after Raw this past Monday. I had never seen a Will Ospreay match and new WC would post some of his matches from when he was there. It was clear from the very beginning that people loved this promotion and i wish i was from the UK so i could have seen a show.

@@Geek_Chorus That is the best thing about the division I work in, so little micromanaging and hawking oversight so as long as I do my job, they could care less lol. Btw, got away with it lol

Me and my mates were at the first Built To Destroy, and it was my first wrestling show I watched live. I met loads of friends and had a great time at those shows, and actually met people I never thought I'd meet like Jay Lethal, Cody Rhodes and my favourite wrestler, Drew (at the time) Galloway. I wouldn't be as into indie wrestling as I am without those shows. Thanks for the memories, fellas.
