All in i think the remington 783 suprised me. Ive handled them before and i thought they felt better than most any savage rifle. Good to see they are accurate and reliable too! Thanks for the review!

You said it perfectly when you said: It works. It does work. There's not much else to say. It's not going to win a beauty contest. It's not going to win a long range shooting contest. The thing it will do is shoot game and work. My daughter took her first deer with one. One shot. It worked.

Seems to be a good performer for the price if you can deal with that synthetic stock. That flex you are seeing happens when you shoot and likely always bottoms out the barrel on the plastic under the upward recoil forces from your bipod. The tripods you have there are also really nice, but back to the stock there is no ARCA rail on there for the higher quality tripods, and if you were to add one without reinforcing the front end of the stock it would again be pointless. Using a saddle on the tripod like you did, you really need to be careful where you are clamping it on those flimsy stocks as it will change the harmonics and point of impact considerably if it pinches the stock enough to contact with the barrel (or even the action). I've seen folks put rails on those stocks, to stiffen them up some try to inlay a layer of 6MM carbon fiber arrows filed with epoxy down the entire barrel channel to try and stiffen it up after they drill and install the fasteners. It helps - but they've still got a $100 stock in the end. Got to thinking that if you wanted to add another level to your testing you could pick up a box of the Barnes LRX solids and see how the solid hunting bullets group in whatever you are testing. The LRX are individually designed to be optimal for each chambering you are trying them in, and I have found them to give the best accuracy among solids. Thanks for the review!

No written Warranty is a major concern, i'll pass.
