A brief overview of my Remington 870 Police Magnum for ‪@georgiaboy4410‬check out his video that shows "The Warden" - a really dandy 870 Magnum from the Georgia Department of Corrections.
My understanding is that this Police Magnum came from a local department - I purchased it from a local shop after one of the employees owned it for awhile once it was traded in.

I have the 870 Express Magnum with wood furniture and rifle sights, same shotgun, I keep mine for home protection. Mine also has a 20" barrel with Imp. Cyl. choke, fixed. I bought it used and there are no scratches on it. Slugs will give you a "love tap" but the buckshot loads I used which were 00 Buck, were tame.

I purchased a Left Hand Express Magnum for my Son - I haven’t seen a backwards Police Magnum. 🙂

High on the list of the question: If you could have only 1 gun....... Getting those slides out were twice as hard as a Rem1100:) The shotgun is a hot topic these days.

This one came along when I was looking for a “utility” shotgun. I agree - it’s a super versatile tool that can fill many roles. How’s Toad doing these days?

Thanks, Richard! The barrel with sights is interesting - I forgot to show in the video that it has a very simple Remington roll mark. I do like the “industrial” look of the parkerized police variants of the 870. 🙂

The “B” prefix serial number on the receiver indicates the 1994 to 1996 timeframe. The two letter code on the barrel could be 1997.

@@D5quared91 I’ve only handled them briefly in stores, and I don’t know anyone that has used one. My first impression was that the aesthetics did not compare favorably with a traditional 870.
