The Knicks could have a case for just run it back and they will have a chance to make a deep playoff run. BUT the Knicks have a 20 million dollar expiring contract and a bunch of draft picks to go out and make a bigger deal if they find a star player available. The Lakers just don’t have the assets to make a lot of big improvements

I'd rather be the Lakers personally. The knicks aren't beating Boston or Bucks without another star. The Lakers just need to get reliable role players and a solid back up big and there among favorites in west. Lakers stars of Bron and AD out played Jokic and Murray. The problem was DLO, Rui, and even Reaves during stretches of that series looked bad. If they have average stats in round vs nuggets they probably win that series. But they didn't and Denvers role players of MPJ, Gordon, KCP all showed up and played better which was the difference in series.

Lets be honest, the WORST duos are duos who are both ball dominant. As good as Luka and Kyrie have been, people arent scared of their defense. Meaning if you're just as good offensively, what naked you better, clutch, no, defense can stop clutch. I'll take players who score a little less but have at minimum, above average defense.
