►About the Game -
Remorse: The List is a classic survival horror game where the player must figure out what is happening in the little Hungarian town of Hidegpuszta, and your only clue is a list that doesn't make much sense. Exploring every nook and cranny of this place will be the key to unveiling its secrets and get out of there alive.
Explore a large and expansive world filled with unimaginable horrors as you defend yourself with scarce options available. Manage your resources carefully with the limited size of your inventory and take advantage of every thing at your disposal to survive.
Features
Large inconnected parts of a small, suburban hungarian town with creepy streets, parks and old, abandoned buildings.
Open gameplay where you decide the order in which you unfold the secrets of the list.
Inventory management with single and double slot items of many types like weapons, first aid kits, ammo and puzzle items.

Super happy to see you checking this one out. I finished it up last night and this was just a phenomenal experience overall. Some minor complaints about the combat being awkward but man, this was a hidden gem. Excellent experience through and through. 100% going to go back and replay it quite a bit. Hope you end up liking it as much as I did!

@@Laura_5757 I re-watched the whole gameplay and I have to say that all the important stuff was translated well! Most of the stuff that didn't have translation was just a few little things, like the ads in the pharmacy, the pub, etc. My personal favorite was the little sign (part1 10:23). The red thing means "Keep out" and above it the other one, that someone wrote with a marker means "Then why the hell is it open?". Not important from a lore point of view, but a very Hungarian thing you sometimes see in small towns What I could add was not in the text, but St. Maria I think would be Virgin Mary. She has a big role in Hungarian culture, because she is our patron saint; one of our kings, St. István, "gave" Mary his crown and the whole country before his death to watch over it as some kind of motherly protector. So it was a really interesting choice on the part of the developers 😊

Open-world games are my favorite, so I'm glad to see you playing this one. It has an appropriately foreboding atmosphere with a soundtrack that really enhances it.There's a nice variety of enemies and, I've gotta admit, some of them really startled me, which is pretty hard to do. I'd love to see you finish the game. 👍

I did mention this game on the Discord, do say it's so far an interesting game. I'm personally am not the biggest fan of those old Half-Life horror mods, but with that said it's pretty refreshing to see an indie horror game that not just a Run & Hide/Walking Sim or be a PlayStation 1 Retro-Style horror game.

Earlier this month I actually rewatched your very, very old playthrough of Cry of Fear and I think it would be awesome to see you play it again now. Your reactions would no doubt be vastly different and it would be super entertaining! It was such an excellent mod.

Cry Of Fear is one of the best horror games IMO. I loved Chris' play through of it, since he did a blind play through, especially the first chainsaw enemy chase sequence.

Thank you for playing this game CJU. As a hungarian it is great fun to see all those little extras in the texts scattered around. Like the graffiti on the first gate that has a "No entry" sign saying: "Why the f*** is it open then?". Your pronunciation is also very amusing, we are always looking forward to it :) Hope to see a part 2.

cry of fear, afraid of monsters, and gray are some of my absolute favorites! I'm absolutely in love with this game so far the puzzles, the free roam environment, and the story thus far have been hitting those marks!

Please give us a part 2! Ive never enjoyed Cry of Fear but this is quite atmospheric tbh. Id love to see more, the puzzles and story seem interesting and there isnt vast stretches of nothing happening. Its really nicely paced.

eye absolutely LOVE how you play and immerse yourself in alot of the indie titles. they are so under looked and ignored due to the new AAA state of games now,which are amazing too however eye feel theres much beauty as well in the smaller indie titles. theyre quite artistic and provide a certain dark tone the popular huge budget games dont provide.

Hungarian here,i live in the real 4th district,which is actually called Újpest,and it seems so real enviromen wise,the map obv other than Farkas erdő is not real,same with the streets,but the houses,shops etc are really the same as here looks wise,its such a good game omg,i hope i can find who made it and congratulate them and maybe talk to them abt inspos and such

This game really does remind me of Cry of Fear, Silent Hill and a little bit like The Evil Within (with the breaking of crates.) I’m really enjoying it and has a lot of “nostalgia over some older similar game” feels. As per usual, you truly spoil us with so much content, and most games you play are really good. You’re awesome!

The weird enemy/ person on the ground with a stack of heads (38:10) reminds me a lot about Junji Ito. More specifically, the issue named "My Dear Ancestors".

The upright enemy has a quirky Warner Bros cartoon ditty-bop to them, its almost a shame to have to see them get put down. Always a joy to happen upon a series that I missed and have a chance to catch up.

Cry of Fear I think more than any game, disturbed me. It was scary, but there was such an undercurrent of what felt like a nihilistic hate coming from all the enemies in the game. I've experienced drug-induced psychosis before and it had that same kind of horrifying self-hatred that I felt coming from my own brain that makes you terrified how something that is part of you can be so at odds with your existence. It truly is one of my favorite horror games for so accurately captured despair and the complete unraveling of the psyche. I'm getting a lot of the same vibes from this so I'm excited to see how it plays out.

21:03 I found this part very amusing and funny lol. Never saw an enemy come rolling his way over sitting in an office chair. I seen bed enemies (silent hill) but this was a treat that I found a bit too funny, lol.

Stumbled upon this video and greatly enjoyed myself! Please do keep playing. I believe the crowns have numbers on them that are valued at the number of sides the puzzle clues are displayed on (3 for the triangle, 5 for the pentagon, etc). Maybe if you figure out the order of the story clues in the hallways you'll find which crowns to put in?

This along with commentary is a nice wind down game before going to bed. Wasn't scared that bad but it happened a few times. Oddly enough what stood out the most is - asset placement, depth of view, strength of light, and shading of the hospital at 23:43 which is incredibly accurate if you were to be in front of a hospital of that size at that time of night. Cool how dev in sandbox mode didn't just clear everything out of it's path to make if super obvious it's there. Modern graphics of close up things are nothing new but what some people can do from far can be impressive.

I lovee open world games! And this one seems like a really good one. There are a few glitches and awkwardness notable but so far they dont seem to hinder the gameplay. And I quite like the puzzles as well! You seem to like it too do please continue, Chris!
