Those yabbies look so much like the Koonacs we get over here in southwestern WA they live in wet lands and streams that dry up in summer, to survive the summer they dig large burrows that look like mud volcanoes. Yeah we never got into video games either, we were always out hunting or fishing for something. I remember as a kid we would ride the push bikes over 20km out hunting pig's with dogs and knives and wouldn't think anything of it. I bet not many kids are doing it these days and the trouble is a lot of the forests and places we went are now fenced off or they are simply not allowed to go into, so I guess it's not all the kids fault. If your crayfish have a bit of a muddy taste to them, flush them with clean water while they are still alive. Keep flushing them with clean water until the water going out is as clear as the water going in. I use a bucket with a valve at the bottom. I fill the bucket with the crayfish and clean water to the top then open the valve at the bottom, when the water pouring out is clear, so are the mudbugs. I wouldn't use chlorinated water because that can also effect the taste of the crawdads.

No offence taken at all mate. You are dead right I don't think I've seen a better spot ( except maybe once or twice). I think they just eat whatever they get there claws onto , basically any vegetable or animal. I'm trying to be better with the camera work, definitely still learning, I tend to get a bit carried away and forget to move a bit slower. But rest assured I'm trying to make every video better even if it doesn't work all the time. And thanks for the input we really appreciate it. 👍
