Thank you very much. I often wonder how people living outside of Japan learn about Japanese pressings in the first place. Not every one was shipped to stores outside of Japan. A 2.5 hour dig like this one must be very revealing. Sources like Discogs don’t always include photos of the original OBI, for example.

@@ricefieldrecords For me it was RU-vid channels focussing on Japanese pressings combined with a great dealer in Scotland (that sadly no longer trades) and the record fairs. I managed to pull a good collection at decent prices before it exploded in the last few years. Discogs used as a reference.
Great concept Michael Really has potential. Who would have thought 20 years ago that you could be buying records remotely in Japan? Prices seem very reasonable & I think it’s a given the condition will be as stated (I know from experience Japan tend to undergrade) look forward to future developments 😊
Well, it’s the networks that are really the game changer now. 5G is fiber-like speed now, and that enables crisp and clear visuals and sounds. There’s very little jitter or frozen moments. That kind of thing can really make it a lousy experience for the buyer at home. The timing was really good for this one. Carlos is very experienced and having George and Jason together really made for the chemistry. And the fact that neither of them had ever visited Japan before apart from being comfortable with Japanese OBI and organization to a basic extent. Yeah, I’m really pleased to end the year with this project. Hopefully there will be more of this in the New Year. Thanks for watching and commenting.
