double click windows update - DISABLE
apply - ok

Double click on Group Policy Object Editor
Finish
Click OK at bottom
Expand Local Computer Policy
Expand Computer Configuration
Expand Administrative Templates
Expand Windows Components

I do NOT want to be tied in to the Microsoft Borg System. I cannot use Windows 10. I want my OS to work for me, separate from anyone else including Microsoft. This presumptuous invasion of privacy is beyond disgusting. Its contemptible and coercive.

Couple of Q for you as you are an MS professional: Can you confirm that GWX is now being pushed out as part of the IE11 update? ...that's what I have been hearing around the net... Do you know of the Billy Idol album Cyberpunk and is that where you got your YT name? ;)

Just like in anything you install there is fine print. Like when you install Adobe Flash, it installs McAfee unless you tell it not to through the check box commands. It's illegal to push Windows 10 in an update unless you authorize it. Also yes I've heard of Billy's album lol but no I got my name from PriiTK (google hm), who was a part of an old group of programming friends I was a part of.

Illegal for them to push W10 in an update.... Does not seem to stop them! :D LOL! I did not like Billy's Cyberpunk album as much as his earlier work, but I was just curious - I have not seen that name pop up elsewhere. :)

Thank you. Good video. BUT I have 7 Home Premium and, as I foresaw, there is NO group policy snap-in . I've so far handled the "situation"another way. Maybe you know the answer to a problem that sorely hampers me in the resistance effort. When I try to filter out MS updates, I naturally, for each update, click on the "more info" button, but, when I find myself at the microsoft page that comes up, the KB number that heads the page is different from the KB number for which I requested the "more info" ALWAYS. What's happening? Are there two different series of KB numbers? Is there any way to get more information on a particular update (by KB number) without going to an ms website AT ALL? Thanks for your help and kind support. You've installed windows 10 for yourself. I have Debian on DVD ready to GO, but I'll stay with 7 as long as I can.

Just change it to download and install with approval? Then bring up screen with list of updates and click "more information" It will tell you what each update does and "hide" the ones for windows 10.

When you update your system bring up a list of the updates and click on each one then click on the "more information" spot on the lower right of the screen.

Now after watching this video i imagine those win7 users living in fear and having nightmares about the monster Win10 hwo sneaks into their computer..lololol. Onto serious stuff now...i had win7 since came out, few months ago installed win10 with no regrets, nothing to complain, games run as usual, my kb mouse and printer as well..boot time is now better, i like the new office, skype and one drive apps, i dont know, i just feel its an evolution...but paranoids will be paranoids forever..

for casual users is ok, for ppl who needs all performance of its PC is not, win10 have too many background process. Even for high end pcs best windows is still winXP 64, since it have almost 0 backgroud process and the machine can run at 100% efficency

That's beyond the point. I would be able to chose when I want to upgrade myself,not have be forced to find ways to stop it from force updating my system when I'm not looking. The way it operates fits the definition for some kind of virus.

Rellana1 Very true. I keep on top with the running of my computer and instruct it what to do and not let it instruct me. You have to set up your computer to run the way you want it to run. Windows 10 wipes out any other previous operating system but you have to watch it with this spying game of theirs and set up your computer so that it is your control. I upgrades myself and did not have automatic updates on. It is wrong what Microsoft has done and yes it is like a virus for any user who is unaware

yzadorovskyy Thus new windows system is the best you just have to set it up right and give it time. Move forward not backwards. The only shocking thing I dislike about windows 10 is the aggressive nature or Microsoft making this a new windows operate like a virus, adware operating system without the users consent. That I dislike

The way microsoft behaved by forcefully taking control of the users machines and doing whatever they liked, I believe they got away with that 'cause it was online, if they did it "in person", that would be trasspassing & entering and "destruction/tampering" of private property and who knows what else, a shame cause I would love to see them trying it in person and being shot on sight.
