The density of the lawn, along with the bending moment of the tractor under the applied said torque and depending on the type of soil would not allow you to maintain 650. (R2/(4xTAN/COS*14.7)*tC). 14.7 atmospheric pressure assumes you are at sea level. Applying the formula would result in 649.7684754lbs. I told my dad the $400,000 he paid for me to go to engineering school would pay off.

@@freedomfox8183 you really don't get my comment? You are basically agreeing with me. I'm agreeing that it was a test because of the washer being "the dead give away". It wasn't rusted on and thermal cycled. It would be harder to take off but it's been removed and re torqued. I would of liked to see him break it loose before the test just to see if it would get the bolt out. I mean the camera and impact were already there. I understand the test but it's just not "real world".

If you look at the specs it says breakaway torque is 1500ftlb and tightening torque 1100ftlb. Why would you make an impact that tightens harder than its breakaway. No one used impacts to tighten things on mainly. They usually use a torque wrench. Since tightening a bolt is more specific to its application. Why is it you always see people testing a device on how well it loosens. Its because breakaway torque is a selling point with impact drivers. So of course its going to be tighter than tightening torque capabilities.

@@hommie789 I don’t think they are staged. There’s a guy who did a review by the name of “ ProjectFarm “ that uses equal and constant test on all tools. I also too have DeWalt & Milwaukee and always find myself leaning on Milwaukee’s side. Longer battery life , faster charging time & over all quick and very durable. I guess it just depends the application.

I am glad to hear that. I run dewault, and want a high torque. I can't help but want the Milwaukee for the job with their huge numbers. But I have several batteries for Dewault. I feel like Dewault will do great, don't have to over kill.

It will undo much easier once the thread has stretched with an old bolt. Torque that up like that with a new bolt and the gun would have a much harder workout..

Well it has obviously been removed prior to cranking it back down and it was probably sprayed with oil after putting it back in.

Obviously but that’s not the point, he has another vid of doing this with a ryobi up to 600ft lbs. It may take longer if bolt hadn’t already been cracked. Who’s to say if torquing a bolt 1st would help crack it I’ve never tried.

Are you being for real right now? Fact: you turn clockwise to tighten, he did so with the torque wrench, the words Farmall are not flips so this video is not mirrored or anything, so it’s obvious he tightened, then he hammered it out with Milwaukee, I have no idea where you say he’s turning the bolt the wrong way

A fastener torqued to 650 lb/ft doesn’t require that much to remove it. Not to mention since it’s already been turned it has no oxidation or dirt that has built up in the threads. Still impressive, but misleading.
